I’ve recently tried doing Blue Pullmans in various liveries. I’d be embarrassed at what AI came up with!
I did a Blue Pullman for the RM Web thread earlier this year, a Saltley / Solihull inspired location.
The resulting render not only had all the cab-angles and livery spot-on, it also rendered the two Kitchen Firsts correctly and in the correct train-formation. Impressive.

Recalling the period from June 1963 to September 1966, with A4s on Glasgow Buchanan Street to Aberdeen '3-hour' trains.
1) 60024 Kingfisher flies northwards, through Angus county.
2)
The Highland Main Line is re-imagined; this A4 is diverted from its 1963-1966 stomping-ground.

Here are:
WR set passing Princes Risbro' (Kitchen First car is farthest-visible carriage).
MR set (as a charter, with two Parlours added at rear) on WR near re-imagined Solihull.

Google's Gemini AI subscription model is becoming less and less-appealing, sadly.
The Gemini Plus recent update severely limits how much Pro-level data (create AI images) can be used; from mid-November, access to Pro will be removed completely.
That means paying a four-fold increase each month, just to get the same as I've previously had; I'm not prepared to do that, so it might mean you no longer see me here.

Very nice.
Here is the best of what Gemini created for me the other day. Wrong, so very wrong!

Little House On The Prairie. Do I win a prize?
And there was me hoping it might be George Clark's Amazing Spaces, or Escape to the Country. ;)

Two-tier travel. Platform ingress/egress for First Class ticket-holders only. It could work.
There was me, thinking Chris Green might have acquired the Pullman sets, given them a fit-out (2+2 seating) and run 'em between Waterloo and Exeter. That would have swiftly culled their engines and traction-motors!

Sound the horn. Frosty dawn in 1970s north fenland; and the Blankney Hunt's chase is thwarted by an approaching class 37. Today, fox wins!

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

Hot date. Inspired by my own ascent of Snowdon's Pig Trail in 1998; and the sight of two young lovers lacking the right type of protection.

Looks more like Kent with the oast houses in the background....and also the North Fenland line would have been double track prior to electrification. ;)

I had the erstwhile Middleton Towers line in my mind, when I wrote it. Formerly two- track, the gap between surviving pw and the left fence (behind riders) is clue of its former status.
The field begged for a distinctive building, it's an enterprising Norfolk cottage-brewer.

I wrote a re-imagination of Kings Lynn to Middleton Towers because it was a sedately-paced line at the best of times.
The driver saw the hunt's approach across the adjacent field. Brakes on, blast on the horn, judicuous skill to approach the crossing at a walking-pace. All those Beagles have time to sprint across safely.
The over-fed huntsmen have no such luck, as their steeds are having none of it... You might notice one horse has already dismounted its monacled moron (spread-eagled in the field, off left of this scene).
A virtual guard is shouting obscenities at the huntsmen, from the rear cab. ;)

Talking of Snowdon, the ongoing issue of too many people queuing for a selfie at the summit seems to be getting worse.

Epic image @CaptainHaddock, it's exactly how I remember it in 1998

Hard at work. The grimy J94 and its driver have no time for the young shirkers. An imminent blast of the whistle will see off their moody demeanour and get them running.

Breasting the summit of the 1 in 14 Hopton incline on the Cromford & High Peak line, who would expect to find a Teddy Boy convention in progress?! o_O

I rather hoped those five shifty metal-thieves might get their come-uppance...

I'm thinking about a virtual scene in homage to the late Sir William McAlpine's Fawley Hill Railway, on his Oxfordshire estate. A 1:14 incline rising to 1:13, all adhesion-worked.
Here's a YouTube clip

Single-line working. Bedlam on the Bentham.
Next stop: Hellifield's town-centre pubs - but will these ladies get police orders before Last Orders...?

That must have been a while ago....no 156s on the Bentham line nowadays - especially Heaton-allocated ones, although I suppose it could - at a stretch - be the Saturdays-only Rochdale-Ribblehead service. I'm afraid the 'ladies' are going to be rather disappointed. There's only one pub in Hellifield village centre - The Black Horse - and the last few times that I've been past it's been closed and boarded-up. :frown:

They are indeed Rochdale lasses! They had already been barred from Castleton and Oldham; I wager they are the real reason why The Black Horse is boarded-up. ;)

Thanks very much! That livery looks good on it!
The revised Railfreight Distribution livery really suits class 99 shape. Here, an imagined train charges through Lune Valley.

A Royal Scot rattles the remote Scout Green signalbox, sited halfway between Tebay and Shap Summit.

Morris club man. I wonder what the AEC railcar's passengers make of it all.
I wonder if the Bishop approved of such Pagan ritual, @CaptainHaddock
I wonder if The Academic ever introduced Anika to delights of a firm wood baton @Topological ;)

Those Windsor Morrismen are putting on quite the show. I do not know whether there was a build to a climactic ending.

Certainly, Anika and The Academic are still out there touring the places of past and present. It is a while since we saw them canal side in Manchester. The recent image finds have had a more industrial theme and do seem to be in the North West. Something obviously connecting South Wales and Manchester for those two.

How things change...

Some might say that they have got a bit big for their boots here, They clearly have not found the exact location from the old picture. There is an explanation for the move towards those mills, but not in this shot.

It's a Morris thing. Which Morris cars and buses can you see?

Great work @Zander trains and those schemes really suit the 99.
My images are entirely AI-created, I wrote a long description imagining a spot along the Lune Valley, I let Google Gemini create an entirely made-up scene. I think it did pretty well. :)

Your first excellent image proves that being canal-side too much creates a risk of logs. In this case, a lot of logs clearly emerged; perhaps from Kielder Forest in the north, as logs from Middlesex would be dropped into the southern rivers.
I've noticed the sawn logs have piqued their interest; perhaps they prefer.a freshly-shaved one? I am no wood-connisseur* so, if it holds firm and does the job, then it's good wood.
I bet the skip-hire company's foreman was less-than-happy to find white gloss splatter's resistance to removal. Sometimes it won't come off, no matter how much one rubs it.

* Our house-extension had steels not wood.
They clearly have not found the exact location from the old picture.
To me, it looks as if The Academic is itchingly-close to the correct spot. GPS can assist. If he moves a fraction toward Anika, then he'll find the G PS spot.

Actually the Bishop's been busy with his railway modelling of late. On a recent visit to his favourite shop he was surprised to see a familiar-looking character on the "railway staff figures" shelf.

Are these oversized figures designed to give your scenes a new sense of perspective. Certainly, the bishop figure adds a different view.

I knew I could rely on @Sun Chariot to pick the bones out of my last release. I am just sorry that I did not work out what Anika was spending so long looking at, both modern day Anika and historic Anika are looking intently at a very similar paper.
