In the previous incarnation when Millwood was all single-deck, the Halifax -Hebden Bridge shorts were operated with double-deckers from Elmwood, I recall.Looking at the current timetable it seems that most of the 590/591/592 is geared to run from Todmorden (Millwood)*. If the entire route is transfered to Halifax, would everything fit in at Elmwood given its size?
* The exception is Boxing Day when the 591 is ran by Old Fieldhouse Lane at the moment. Going to look interesting come 2028.
I hadn't realised that, thanks. What we do know is that the 501/X1 and 508 will be leaving Elmwood as part of the first tranche, with the 548/549 becoming fully Elmwood operated.
The former 35196 SK16 GVV.Another Streetdeck repower has entered service in York today. 71086 ISZ 1886. It's in Westbus green same as the rest of the batch and has West of England legal lettering rather than the First York lettering that the rest now carry
No on hire notice in the window and the Leicester and Leeds buses now have York legal lettering with labels removed. I would guess this is an oversight in the case of the new arrival. The former 35196 SK16 GVV.
Presumably has something in the window to say its on loan to First York then? Also, do the buses on loan in York from Leeds and Leicester still have notices about being on loan to York?
I knew that the Repowers from Leeds were due to stay with York on a more permanent basis but didn't realise that the Electroliners from Leeds and the Repower from Leicester were also staying more permanently. No on hire notice in the window and the Leicester and Leeds buses now have York legal lettering with labels removed. Once 71087 and 71091 appear on the road that will bring the total number of loan vehicles to 21, giving a one for one replacement for the 21 Metrodeckers.I knew that the Repowers from Leeds were due to stay with York on a more permanent basis but didn't realise that the Electroliners from Leeds and the Repower from Leicester were also staying more permanently.
WYIS fleetlist also has 71087 (ISZ 1387) & 71091 (KFX 791) as being with First York. 71087 is the former 35564 SK19 EZU and 71091 is the former 35319 SN18 XYS.
Bit of trivia - Had 71091 made it to Bath as intended, it would've seen the return of that cherished plate to the area; it's been on four different vehicles before, in Bristol, Somerset and Dorset.I knew that the Repowers from Leeds were due to stay with York on a more permanent basis but didn't realise that the Electroliners from Leeds and the Repower from Leicester were also staying more permanently.
