Might you mean Arriva? In any case, on my Arriva portal, it's always shown as "Under Review", and I'm post-DMI.

As an aside, it's also a really barebones portal, there's no email or correspondence history, I have to rely on my memory and GMail for that haha.

Any news mate?
No news yet. Because someone in here who interviewed a month or so before me got their dates last week or the week before, I was hoping I’d get some news relatively soon.

Hi all,
I just received my course start date as being Jan 4th after doing my dmi back in April. In regards to the training course at derby, Kirsty who has taken over from Andy at recruitment mentioned that it would be classroom based jan-april with preplanned holidays throughout. There will then be some sort of break before continuing the last stretch of training down at whatever station you originally applied for. Birmingham New Street applicants will also receive the lodging option too for the training at derby
Has Andy Page left the recruitment team completely?
As per above post from MrPopo

Hi everyone,

I am currently looking into potential opportunities with CrossCountry as a Qualified Train Driver, considering a relocation from the North, and am starting some early research in preparation for future applications and interviews.

I would really appreciate any insight from current or recent XC drivers regarding the Bristol depot and general company terms and conditions. Specifically, I would love to know what shift patterns typically look like, and what the usual earliest start times and latest finishing times are on a standard roster.

I am also curious about how parking works for drivers based at Bristol Temple Meads, especially whether there is dedicated depot parking or an arrangement in place given how busy the station car park gets.

Additionally, how is Rest Day Working availability at the Bristol link, and is it paid at an enhanced rate or a flat rate? Lastly, since Sundays are outside the standard working week for XC, how are they remunerated, and is it a fixed Sunday enhancement or structured differently?

Any general advice or pointers about the depot culture or diagram types would also be massively appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help!

Apologies for hijacking your thread, but maybe someone in the know will see this here.

Has anyone got the structure for cross country to hand in terms of when you get the increments. I’m sure it was on this thread but I cannot send to find it.

Google reault says this but might not be spot on. Does anyone know how long it takes to become ‘fully qualified’?

I am planning to apply, I already have a valid psychometric pass at enhanced standard. Does anyone know if Cross-Country make you do the online mini assessment even if you hold valid psychometrics?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, everyone who applies has to do the SHL assessment sift, unless you’ve already completed one in a previous application within 6 months. You only skip psychometrics.

DBS took 1-2 working days for me and the medical from booking I waited approx 1 week
They didn’t do the DBS until after the medical.
How long after the passed medical and dbs did your job offer come? And at what point did you hand your notice in to fit the outlined course start date?

I had conditional offer over the phone then I did medical first and then DBS and reference checks carried out and contract was sent out to me over email.
Once the checks were completed
I handed my notice in.
I had a 3 month notice period but was only able to provide just over a month due to course start date.

How long after all of the above from your dmi? Assuming this was the last test u did?

I did DMI first then psychometric. I can’t remember exactly but I believe it has been just under 2 years
Thanks for taking the time to respond, what do the reference checks look like please?

The company I worked for prior to my new role no longer exists, so just interested in how far they go back, and what format it takes.

Hi
They ask for a reference from your previous employer however if you haven’t been employed by your current employer for 3 years they ask for a second one from the employer before.

Thanks for that. I'll have to figure something out then as they went bust haha. Is it an email link or something they send? Hopefully my explanation will suffice

It was just a word document they sent asking for details of job role and how long you worked there and their contact details etc…
Pretty standard.
I’m sure shouldn’t be a massive issue.
