Hi folks,

On Sunday 06/09, there will be engineering work on c2c routes. The c2c service alterations calendar says the following:

Engineering Work Between Basildon and Leigh-on-Sea and Between Stanford-le-Hope and Pitsea

These services will start/terminate at Upminster and Stanford-le-Hope.

Rail replacement in place between Stanford-le-Hope – Pitsea & Pitsea – Shoeburyness.

During peak times (around 08:00 – 11:00 & 16:00 – 19:00), train shuttles will run between Leigh-on-Sea – Shoeburyness and rail replacement will run between Stanford-le-Hope – Pitsea & Pitsea – Leigh-on-Sea during these times.

However if we try to buy a ticket, for this day, between Stanford-le-Hope and Upminster (where there should be a shuttle service) or between Stanford-le-Hope and Pitsea (where there should be a rail replacement bus) then there aren't any services shown except around midnight either side of Sunday. Does anyone know what's going on here and when the timetable will be released?

Screenshots are from raileasy but the result is the same regardless of which booking website I try (including c2c's own). I'm not sure whether different sites have their own copy of the data which they update periodically or they pull it "live" from the same source.

I should mention that I've emailed c2c with this query already.

(I'm unable to edit the first post for some reason).

Probably just a case of the revised timetables not being uploaded into the various systems. Or it's been uploaded but someone has forgotten to press a button to publish them

It doesn't seem like they could turn trains at Basildon, last time this happened they sneakily amended the timetable plan at short notice to turn trains at Laindon. But they forgot to update their journeycheck on the day!

It's meant to be single line working (over the Up line) between Laindon and Basildon.

It would get replanned to run to Laindon, in the event that the PILOT resourced becomes unavilable and thus unable to operare the single line working arrangements.

As to why the amended plan isnt in the booking engine - pass.

Ahh....
Could be the fact that it appears that the amended plan isnt yet fully in systems.
I can only see 1 bus operating at Pitsea and Basildon. And only a handful of trains at Basildon.

All c2c timetables are being revised due to the number of speed restrictions that have come on (or are about to) due to the rapidly changing ground conditions under the tracks.

Just to update this thread, the amended timetable was finally made available a couple days before the sixth. The delay in availability obviously made it difficult to make plans for that date in advance.

c2c never responded to my email, as per usual, which is incredibly poor from them.

Although that's a customer service issue / point, i think C2C are under .much pressure with a large volume of infrastructure related restrictions post the Hot Weather and other infrastructure led issues that it has become incredibly complex to piece together plans for engineering works.
