I don’t agree - GBR needs a unified livery, although I’m not a fan of the current one.

GBR doesn't *need* a unified livery. It does, however, need a clear and coherent identity, which just re-badging TOCs doesn't properly accomplish. However, BR showed with sectorisation that different liveries as part of different branding could be very powerful in aiding separation of market segments.
That's not to say a unified livery couldn't work - many countries do have this. But I'd suggest that if GBR should seek to differentiate Intercity from Regional and Commuter services at the very least.

Maybe take some inspiration from other European countries then, and design a similar but red or white-themed (ideally white) for intercity. I don’t agree with keeping TOC liveries.

I wonder if it will be 'GBR - London Northwestern'. If the two sub-TOCs are re-combined into 'GBR - West Midlands' then it may have to be un-picked if the =WM Mayor takes over what's now WMR.

If this is true... then the LNER Class 91 GBR livery is ace. Looked good as LNER and looks great as GBR.

Typically, Chiltern ROG moves are between Eastleigh and Banbury so a move to Wembley may be significant.. maybe GBR significant

Apart from needing to find a path up the Western and then across Acton, I suspect it's fat easier to go via Oxford.
Not even sure the paperwork allows a right turn at reading, either.

It might be a way of getting the GBR name on legally before First Trenitalia’s time is up. The private company will very much want their name remaining until then.
As for when the time IS up, well, Heidi said it herself rather hilariously

As to if the Eastleigh to Banbury path is the train, its hard to tell.

Spotted the GBR Mk5 set today during taxi/takeoff from Southampton Airport… just visible if you’re sat on the right hand side of the aircraft facing north on the runway. It’s tucked away behind a Chiltern liveried set.

With the other set in front I couldn’t see, though there definitely was a 68 attached so I’d say it’s quite likely!
A double feature, one might think?
If there is only 1 loco and 1 set liveried, would it not be possible for said cl.68 to be switched out so the liveried carriages are pulled by non liveried loco and vice versa?

I still genuinely cannot fathom who signed off on this livery/branding and why it's still being applied to rolling stock.
I thought it might grow on me over time; but no. It really is bad; I have no idea how a professional design agency could come up with something like this.
My daughter could come up with something more coherent, and she's 4!

Yes, exactly the same as when hst's, mk4 sets etc were liveried and then split up over time to become mismatched.
