No GBR logo either. Nothing like that. And 150150 still has all its Northern logos anyway. Possibly it was 150120 that was seen in "plain" as this has just returned from works. No, but I didn't say livery. Putting the logo on the side is something though.
150001 was due back 19th Sept but that's moved back. 150205 you won't see for a while, it's going into Wolverton round about the 18th Sept for C6/CSO works (it's been bumped in the program) and incident repairs.Any idea when 150001 and 150205 is making a return?

Diligentdave do you know when 156401 is dueout has it slipped again, also 156449 as that was due 19th tooNo GBR logo either. Nothing like that. And 150150 still has all its Northern logos anyway. Possibly it was 150120 that was seen in "plain" as this has just returned from works.

That was the unit that was unfortunately involved in the fatal level crossing collision at Hoghton a couple of months ago.150205 you won't see for a while, it's going into Wolverton round about the 18th Sept for C6/CSO works (it's been bumped in the program) and incident repairs.
And 274...Is it just 150222, 224 and 275 waiting to go west? I've lost track.
Is it possible that they just had a supply problem with the logos and the shortages are bad enough that they let it out with the bare minimumNo GBR logo either. Nothing like that. 156401 is due out this weekend (5th). It did come out last week and promptly failed so returned. 449 is still on track for the 19th.Diligentdave do you know when 156401 is dueout has it slipped again, also 156449 as that was due 19th too
No. There are no logos for the Northern fleet and nothing has been agreed to put them on. The designs have not been made or signed off. P.S. the first unit to receive any kind of GBR livery (a wrap) will be a 331.Is it possible that they just had a supply problem with the logos and the shortages are bad enough that they let it out with the bare minimum
I believe 156469 is also running in just blue and whiteHeaton based 156488 has been released from Wolverton with no branding. Just plain Blue and White.
Must be a reason as why trains are running round with no branding.I believe 156469 is also running in just blue and white
Does anyone know why 150104 is going back?5Z52 13:42pm Neville Hill T.M.D. - Newton Heath T.M.D. formed of 150104 and 150274
156401 also released from Wolverton yesterday with no brandingI believe 156469 is also running in just blue and white
It's homesick.Does anyone know why 150104 is going back?
In the case of 401 & 488, the Northern branding was removed whilst they were at Wolverton, whilst 469's was removed on depot I thinGBR graphics on the base Northern livery? History's repeating - reminds me of the early days of Serco/Abellio Northern when there was a ragtag mix of Merseyrail, FNW, Metro-Train, Northern Spirit, and god knows what else all running around with hastily applied Northern logos by the doors. Funny that the name's being phased out in exactly the same manner it first appeared.
Will Northern branding be actively removed from units in depots, or only if they're going off for works?
Kind of looses the "pizazz" of such a sentiment when its hanging around for 5+ years... Would work if they were only a year or so away. Is also why the legacy fleet will likely get GBR branding on fleet livery, makes a nonsense of integration if so much of the fleet stays "Northern" branded years after GBR is formed...Branding the 170, 195, 331's or 350's when they arrive I would understand but why put the GBR branding on the dross of the Northern fleet your planning to replace? Perhaps their planning a TfW 14x style branding promoting the departure of those fleets when the new trains order is finally announced?
Surely a bunch of their fleet is gonna be non-GBR branded anyway as various strategic authorities seek their own branding and ownership of local rail services so I suspect for Northern there is a lot of unknowns right now and no money to deliver for new livery let alone reapplying the old ones.Kind of looses the "pizazz" of such a sentiment when its hanging around for 5+ years... Quite and apart from one wrapped 323, there has been little said about that since. In Manchester, it is meant to commence in December so we will surely see movement pretty soon...Surely a bunch of their fleet is gonna be non-GBR branded anyway as various strategic authorities seek their own branding and ownership of local rail services so I suspect for Northern there is a lot of unknowns right now and no money to deliver for new livery let alone reapplying the old ones.
Why fully rebrand 323's when they are going to be replaced and the one that ha been branded will only work the limited "Bee Network" services on an ad-hoc basis anyway since the fleet will be used across the North West?Quite and apart from one wrapped 323, there has been little said about that since. No different to when Greater Manchester PTE livery Pacers would rock up in Wakefield. Why fully rebrand 323's when they are going to be replaced and the one that ha been branded will only work the limited "Bee Network" services on an ad-hoc basis anyway since the fleet will be used across the North West?
Spot on, if all else was working well then OK but they have plenty of more important issues to fix before put "GBR" on the side of units due for replacement.Am somewhat more concerned about shortforms , cancellations and Sunday non-working than stickers on the side or what colour its painted.
It’s not an issue the should be dismissed though as getting it right helps people navigate the rail network especially a mixed traffic one that’s still issuing tickets stating “Northern Only” or “TPE only” and that’s not helpful when you’ve got unbranded train, I’d say it’s more important now during this transitional period.Am somewhat more concerned about shortforms , cancellations and Sunday non-working than stickers on the side or what colour its painted.
Agree, not dismissing it - but try living in the north west (far worse than anywhere else in Northernland) with shortforms, cancellations and Sunday non-working.It’s not an issue the should be dismissed though as getting it right helps people navigate the rail network especially a mixed traffic one that’s still issuing tickets stating “Northern Only” or “TPE only” and that’s not helpful when you’ve got unbranded train, I’d say it’s more important now during this transitional period.
Or Merseytravel liveried units in Whitby. No different to when Greater Manchester PTE livery Pacers would rock up in Wakefield.
