I haven't seen any movements in so I'd be incredibly surprised if it is there..
When i was going past peterborough on train yesturday, i saw 2 99s on sand wagons in morning in the container flat yard, and none else, in the evening i saw 1 99 on sand wagons in container flat yard and 99009 all the way at the north end of the yard, i have not seen 99006, also worth saying Yesturday (01/09) 0E57 from whitemoor to pboro did infact run and wasnt cancelled, so its possibly 4L57 did run aswell

Also im seeing 4M01 later (02/09) so i will update and what is actually on it

It also could have gone to march on 4L63 (01/09) from Barnby and gone by itself to whitemoor

0E57 is normally formed from the loco which was on 6L37, and returns later in the day.

Yeah, im saying that if 4L57 did run back, it could have taken 99006 with it but we dont know if it did run as they both show up as cancelled

99006 is at Whitemoor?! Does anyone know how that got there please?

On TOPS it's been updated retrospectively to show arriving at Whitemoor yesterday on an unrelated train (in this case the 6G67 Tunstead - Small Heath service that goes nowhere near either Peterborough or Whitemoor). It could be an input error, or might have been done like that to update the loco's position after an earlier unrecorded movement to Whitemoor (but for what???).

It should be become clearer when 99006 moves again...

99006 ARRIVED WHITEMOOR 1104 01/09 ON 346G67C501

I wonder if it went on this on sunday night?

I think you might be right, that 0E06 on Sunday night seems the most likely move for 99006.

The class 70 thread (post #671) included a list of the GBRF 66s early on Bank Holiday Monday. The only 66 shown at Whitemoor was 66707 which had arrived from Bardon Hill as 0L67 on 28/08 (which didn't have time to make an unscheduled call into Peterborough judging from the TRUST timings).

Looking through the TOPS histories of the 66s shown at Peterborough in that list, plus all the class 69s, I think all the movements in and out of Whitemoor on Monday and Tuesday are accounted for except that 0E06. An extra loco could potentially have been dragged from Peterborough to Whitemoor on any number of moves, but I can't see anything that looks like it would have moved on 0E06 unless it was the 99.

I did notice that 69015 was moved from Whitemoor to Doncaster on 6E04 on 1st September. This had been at Whitemoor for months, and I get the impression it was used as a shunter. I did wonder if 99006 had been borrowed as a temporary replacement, or was moved there for crew familiarisation / training - or some combination of both.
Drone shot of Whitemoor on 2nd July, with 69015 visible on the left: https://www.flickr.com/photos/23983516@N05/55371829858/ (Photo: Michael Rhodes)
69015 busy shunting in June: https://www.flickr.com/photos/hennis4472/55353169365/ (Photo: John Hennis)

Anyway... it should become clear whether 99006 is really at Whitemoor when it moves again, but if it is at Whitemoor, I think 0E06 was the most likely move for it.

RTT has been completely wrong like 50% of the time for the last few weeks with this service and 4M01, i wouldnt trust it without picture confirmation
RTT takes its information from what is allocated in the systems. They do not just create a number to put against the handover.

The number showing on RTT must of been allocated and then amended. The date feeds then take ages to update external systems.
The same happens many many times when people ask if certain services are worked by 22 car Pendolino's or 18 car Azumas.

I can confirm that double bendy pendies do run through Crewe on the odd occasion having seen them .

And on how many occasions have they been seen?

I can only ever recall 2-3 times purely for rescuing purposes.

The times I am referring to in earlier post is when RTT shows found Pendolino sets operating in passenger operation, which does not happen.

The 99 on 4M47 (I suspect 99005) has stalled on Parliament Hill. Impressive!

Friday's 4M47 lost about 20 minutes between Gospel Oak and Hampstead Heath, but made this up with recovery time at Willesden. Photo shows 99005 on this working (picture is undated but was taken on day of uploading, 4th Sep, judging from the photo of 20s on 5Z08 in the same photostream):

The main problem recently has been the locos swapping over at London Gateway between the East Midlands Gateway service (4M01 / 4L01) and the Hams Hall service (4M47 / 4L47) and running through to destination showing the wrong loco in TOPS. Once it's arrived at destination, the position of the loco can be adjusted in TOPS, but the actual TOPS / TRUST consist which feeds RTT can't be amended after arrival so it would never be updated (the systems used for passenger trains might work a bit differently, but this is the case with freight). For example 99002 was shown in TOPS working 4M47 on the 25th August plus 4L47 return, then 4M01 on the 26th, all of which were wrong throughout and would feed the wrong info to RTT.

Unfortunately, what 99002 and 99005 did on Thursday 27th August 2026 remains a mystery.

An unusual night shot of 99002 at EMG with 4L01 on 27th August with has now surfaced. This matches up with the sighting data from Railcam reported in post #2116 and confirms that 99002 and 99005 were consisted to the wrong trains in TOPS that day going north on 4M47 / 4M01, but correctly going south on 4L01 / 4L47.

Of course, but that’s no use to the three lines it was blocking at Gospel Oak (GOBLIN bay, both directions and both lines of the NLL), whose trains can’t make that time up so easily!

Sad to see the move didn't take place to Garston. I have managed to get in contact with a driver and they say it was put back a week due to more training needed?. So it could be 1st Sept or the following Monday 7th Sept before we see a 99 on 6L48/6X41 car trains. Training for WCML North (Crewe-Carlisle-Scotland) is expected to also start soon. It is hoped that the Hams Hall to Mossend and return working will be Class 99 hauled in the next couple months. That's all the info I could gain from the contact.

Looks like they're going to have another try next Tuesday (September 8th):

6L48 is on it's way to Dagenham this afternoon with 99002

012 worked a delayed 0Z75 to Doncaster Decoy arriving at 12.20 and departed back to P’boro at 12.26 as 0Z70 if that fits with your sighting.
