I have stage 1 although there was vigilance test at the TOC I did my last one

I am in the same position as you. The online assessment I did for that TOC was arctic shores as well. The first 2 tasks was exactly the same, it the 3rd task was not the u locking of the safe lock. It was more of spatial reasoning where you had to figure out the missing sequence of one or more shops in a grid of boxes by selecting the location, size, colour, pattern in shape and the angle of shape. Glad to see the back of that task.

Oh wow. EMR uses the old book although it’s the exact thing in there. I know someone who done test in 2016 and he was given that exact copy. The one I got was orange. Dated 7th December 2024.

Hi mate, i remember i got the third dot from the first task. And fourth dot for second and third.
Has anyone received yesterdays email whilst not having their scores as the fourth dot for all three?

So my results were 2 dots, 4 and 4. No email yet, with it being a long weekend I presume we won’t find out until Tuesday?

Arctic shores was straightforward just didn’t get into the swing of the first exercise. Stage 1 counting beeps and finding symbols at the same time was most challenging for me.

Sounds like you did the in person assessment. Wasn’t aware you done them. I was on about the arctic shores assessment. But you did say it was straight forward. So you struggled on the exercise with the arrows? Caught me out a few times when they turned to crosses and you’re not suppose to press anything.

That is exactly what happened to me the crosses was what effected my score

Guys, for those who received the success email, what score did you get for the ARTIC assessment? I got 4/4 on everything but still haven’t received anything, AI is really playing with my feelings when i ask for opinion on this

I also got 4/4 for everything. Did you previously take any of the OPC tests? Maybe they contacted those who didn't first.
To be fair, the email was sent at 11pm right before a bank holiday weekend so maybe they just tried to get some emails out before that. Fingers crossed you get a positive result on Tuesday

From what I can piece together, if you’ve already completed OPC Stage 1 and 2, EMR may simply be waiting until they’ve got a big enough group together for the assessment day.
So if they already have enough people with valid OPC passes, you lot could end up being the first group invited to the EMR assessment day.
Then depending on how that goes, you’d still have the EMR specific interview stages to complete as well.
So in reality, you guys may actually be a step ahead of those of us who still need to get through the OPC testing first.

Yeah, I don’t think it has anything to do with completing the OPC test or not. I haven’t completed it and I didn’t get the call up either. I think it’s more to do with who scored the highest on the Arctic. Anyway, only time will tell

Tbf it Could be anything. speculating will just turn you crazy.
Could be order of completion date? Alphabetical Name order? Could be based on the username/number order? Could be random? Could just simply be based on number of OPC assessment date spaces?
What would be helpful to know is, for those who received an assessment day invite, did you receive an email first saying "you passed the Arctic stage" and then a second email saying "You have been invited to complete assessments"?
or was it just one email received saying "you have passed and are invited to complete assessments"?
If the latter, it would probably give a better insight as it would appear that emails are being sent out in relation to OPC availability, as usually there are also other candidates from other TOCs that share these assessment days, and if the invites so far have specified 8th September, there's not enough spaces to accommodate everyone who passed the Arctic Shore stage with EMR so it will be like a 'holding queue' system.
If the former, then it could just be that emails are being sent out in batches; given the large number of applicants for these positions. And as its the BH weekend, its just a matter of waiting until recruitment return to the office this week.

haha well so far it seems like the invites to the next stage have come from those who scored 4/4 on all tasks like yourself.
Those who were unfortunate seem to have had a mixed or lower score.
I'd take it as a sign that you've passed, but just haven't heard yet. Enjoy the BH.

Same position as you. Same score as well. I think they are concentrating on the new candidates who haven’t done their assessments yet. Looks like we will have to do a solo task as well as a group task at this assessment day they have. Have you done anything like that before?
Ah that makes sense. I've done something similar in an assessment day for a different position not in the railway industry. I've never heard of a TOC doing an assessment day before to be honest. Seems like EMR's recruitment process is different from the typical shortlist>OPC1>OPC2>MMI>DMI system. Should be interesting for us!

Oh right. Then you should be ok with that particular assessment. It’s my first time encountering this particular assessment as well. I’m accustomed to the recruitment progress your familiar with. Should be interesting yes, but I’m not looking forward to it. Lol.
I got an email today that I'm being progressed to the assessment day in early october since I've passed OPC already. Have you heard anything?

Well that was short lived. Received email today saying they’re please to let me know that I’ve performed well in the assessment, but due to the high number of strong candidates, they’re only inviting th pose with the very highest assessment scores to attend the assessment centre.
Although they won’t be progressing me to the next stage on this occasion, they were encouraged by my performance and would like to retain my details for future assessment days that they run for the same role within the next 12 months.
Doesn’t this mean for the next vacancy post, will I automatically go to the assessment day or will I have to do the online assessment again?
It was fun while it lasted. All the best for those who are making progress through this recruitment drive.

Me too I didn’t get through. I presume we can still apply for other TOCs as the arctic shores doesn’t form part of the psychometric testing?
Me too. This is just entrance test it doesn’t count towards your OPC trial
