Could we potentially see another bus replace 80295 as its spending time in North East, or will it be like a 11627 situation where that and 11679 swapped if I recall?

Or will it be a case of they're gonna wait patiently for 80295?

The articles I've seen suggest that they will replace the E10s from next year, as that would equal the 55 as laid out in EV Hull article:

19 Enviro 400 EVs
20 Yutong U11s
16 Yutong E12s

While Mansfield are planned to get the electrics currently with Hull:

13 Enviro 400 EVs
10 Yutong E10s

And then whatever else those gremlins ordered
Why don’t Mansfield just get the horrible looking u11s

Wish I could attach the video here, but passed by 11692 on the 13 and it sounded absolutely awful… screeches, whining (flywheel?), the works. Just missing the black smoke belching out from the exhaust or something hanging off the rear. Was expecting it to break down in front of us… non-enthusiast passenger remarked it shouldn't be on the road sounding like that. How can a nearly-three year old bus sound so rough already?

Would assume its something to do with the Enviro 400 MMC line, as they are questionable quality all over the UK and prone to breakdowns (and in the case of 10743, fire, and in the case of 10896, it blew its engine and was VOR for a whole year). ADL seem to be getting worse and worse quality as years go on which is sad when you look at the successes of the ALX400 and early Enviro 400s that were built miles better

What does 10743 have to do with anything? It was arson?

Not saying there is no E12s at Scunthorpe but from the pictures I have seen from 14th June they didn’t seem to show any but did show 63155 and 63157 as being there.

DNO approval can take a while, from what I've read. Basically the Distribution Network Operator has to sign off that the connection is safe before anything can be switched on. Fingers crossed early August holds then, would be great to see them finally in service!

I believe 3rd August had been confirmed with 2 days of testing for the 5th for chargers to be ready

But this could change

Breaking news: there's been actual earthworks going on outside Foster Street a whole two weeks after the council said there would be!

Before you comment on the lack of workers, I think this was taken during their lunch break...

Normal colours still. Was off the road for gearbox repairs.
However might end up back off the road with the ways it’s going.

Did the 1630 111 on 29th only got as far as kingswood.
Did the 0700 11 today and broke down at castle hill.
Spoke to both drivers and the same fault. ‘Gearbox oil temp too high’ and then a coolant leak.

According to Robin Chambers (who is normally reliable on MAN related matters) Hull are to receive the rest of the MAN Enviro 400s (19621-632) from Scotland.

Yes I believe for St Marys College contracts also some will replace older 19s and some 22s

I was on one of the E10s this evening on the 5 from Hull and while not standing room, was certainly busy. Will these eventually be replaced by E12s and how does the seating capacity on an E12 compare to an Enviro 300?

Correct we are meant to be getting a number of 19’s from Scotland for the st Mary’s contract.

22756 scrapped.

E10’s technically Mansfield’s but on loan to us until they get their new site up and running and I believe we are due some E12’s next year.

I got a picture of this btw for those who dont know what a Yutong E10 looks like in Hull!

I tried to make the dest show but these are very difficult to do that to so hopefully the most important bit is visible, I do have a lot more than this but I aint spamming the thread with pictures

Any idea why 22756 was withdrawn, or just the general engine blow/bad mechanical condition?

Yeah the MOT for 22756 shows that it expires in Oct 2026.

Believe it was just the same as 773/5. When they’ve had their inspection they’ve found something that goes beyond what a drivers defect check would and it’s not economically viable to repair with the impeding electrics.

Last few times I have driven 22756 the suspension has been shot. Dropping itself, smashing into everything.
