No new dates for 150222. 155345 see below. 156488 see below. 150120 comes back 25th July. 156401 will probably be delayed a few weeks.
Yes, 156480 will go down Monday.
Caped. Unit wasn't ready when I inspected it on Wednesday. Will now depart Monday 20th, with 347 input on Wednesday 22nd.

When 156480 goes, will it be keeping its RAF livery or will it be going into regular Northern?

Slightly off topic but I've noticed there's been more Class 156s lately at Wigan Wallgate. Is there more of them based at Newton Heath now? It's nice having more of them here alongside the 150s I'll admit.

I'm not aware of a significant increase in 156s since the ex-EMR units came over a couple years ago.
There have been 150/2s coming over in exchange for 150/1s, and the 150/2s have gangways and end doors so could be confused for 156s at a distance?

Nope I've definitely seen the 156s. Unless because of the 150/2s, Wigan is seeing more of those style trains with 156s together. A while back it was mostly 150/1s in the sprinter class.

Supposed to be going in to Northern
There are several 156's on loan to NH from HT to cover the south end of the Cumbrian coast, but nothing else to suggest more 156's are being utilised specifically in the Wigan area.

156480 will finally be losing its RAF wraps and going into base Northern livery minus the branding, which will happen to all future units going through works (Wolverton, Brodies, Long Marston, Bristol).

It shame to see the RAF livery go, but why are they coming back without the branding? Is it so they can have GBR branding added later?

it was only supposed to be on a set number of years I think from what I recall please someone correct if I have remembered it wrong. I think they are now coming out without logos ready for GBR however if another thing I remember correctly on these won’t receive full livery anyway

Is there a reason why on the 150 & 156 overhauls, they seem to be repainting everything except the roof? A lot of the units look quite patchy with freshly repainted everything and then the still dirty and rusty roof on the top.
