That wouldn't make any sense. LNER promoted the 897s as 'GBR's first new trains' and by the time they're being rolled out, GBR will either be in the final stages of setup or already set up. While GBR doesn't exist yet, it will next year and it shows no signs of stopping.

I wonder if they’ll do anything to the interior of the Class 357 - the other Class 357s which have had their bodywork done and re-liveried haven’t had any special cleaning to their interiors at all. Were the Class 387 and Class 701 which were re-liveried given a deeper clean to their interior than usual? Being much newer trains, they wouldn’t need as much work done to their interiors as a Class 357 anyway.

357312's only listing on realtime trains since the 21st of April is a runs as required ECS to Ilford with 357201 (which also hasn't been seen since) that didn't get activated.

The recent refurbishment of the 357s only included corrosion repairs and repaint, none of the previous units refurbished had any changes to the interior

Someone who worked on the Cambridge South project posted that although the station opened today as scheduled, the opening ceremony has been post-poned due to the Bedford train crash: https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/cambridge-south-new-station-opening.141520/page-55#post-7839056
So we may not see the GBR Class 720s there today.

Is there any collated list of which fleets around the country are already currently undergoing re-paint under their current TOCs, and so which we might expect a member of to emerge in GBR livery? Such as with c2c’s Class 357s.

Scotrail and London Overground are irrelevant and I believe XC still has a good 12 months left of their contract so doubt anything will get GBR there yet.

Thanks for the list! Being realistic, I don't imagine we'll see any 15xs in GBR other than the SWR ones and possibly the EMR ones. We can count out ScotRail and London Overground. Chiltern is probably likely if the repaint doesn't finish before they're nationalised (I don't know the progress of that). XC is hard to tell - depends on progress, since they're right at the end of the nationalisation queue. WMR is a maybe - devolution? GWR's fleet is likely to get it. Same with TPE, and c2c apparently already has one blue 357.
Southern 377s are getting their usual inhouse 'scrub up and paint which ever panels need painting' regime. I can see them getting vinyls.

Southeastern’s 377/1s (that are still in Southern livery) are due some cosmetic attention soon. One worth keeping an eye on.
London Overground will have nothing to do with GBR. I think its a slim chance of the sprinters getting GBR livery as they are very old trains. GWR may have GBR livery on the 175s as they currently have some at Wolverton.
If the DfT want to promote GBR in a positive manner the last thing that they should do is to associate it with the 769s.

For 'Networks,' substitute 'operating companies.'
London Overground, MerseyRail (plus Tyne & Wear, slightly different), Transport for Wales and ScotRail are already locally or regionally devolved so will most likely retain their controlling entities' house colours.
Hull Trains, Lumo and Grand Central are open access operators and not nationalised.
Plus, in the fullness of time, other locally devolved networks will no doubt join the City Region model like MerseyRail - Andrew Burnham's 'Bee Network' operation for Greater Manchester being the most vocal, West Midlands being next, in having their own local identities.

I'm led to believe that a TOC is not allowed to start putting anything in GBR livery until the transfer to DFTO is completed, so better curb any expectations for GBR-liveried GWR/EMR/XC stuff for now
The GBR Southern 387 was put into GBR livery before GTR became part of DFTO.

Southeastern will be ordering the replacements for the Networkers very soon (possibly this year), so they will most certainly never get the GBR livery.
