Correct. Would it state that you’re out of the catchment area or just that you were unsuccessful? And no mention of 6 month wait to reapply. Is that automatic?
Just got an email back, it says that I have been unsuccessful. Not sure if its to do with catchment or if is a genuine rejection but I know that I do live almost exactly an hour away from the depot.

probably would say unsuccessful, tocs dont always give a reason I find

Ideally you want to be closer to 40mins from most toc depots to allow for them to check peak time travel by car which usually bumps the time up. If you're 60mins or close to before times are checked at around 16:00pm-17:00pm then you'll fail the catchment check with pretty much every toc.

Oh by car? I'm definitely within an hour then. I was more looking at public transport given car parking isn't the cheapest and its only one bus and a train to drop me within walking distance of the depot. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Has anybody received any response for the next stage after SJT within the past 2 weeks, or has it just been rejection emails sent out?

(Gauging whether no news is good news)

No news is always good news, they’ll let you know regardless of the outcome so try and exercise patience (I know it’s easier said than done)

4 days ago now. And its been 14 days since I first sent my application through
Don’t worry bud. I know it’s easier said than done. You definitely will hear from them. Just to note, typically you won’t hear from them over the weekend. And no idea when you will hear from them but you will. As it stands, take it as you still got skin in the game

I think you're replying to the wrong person, I've already been rejected lol

TL;DR- has anyone heard anything back after SJT for elizabeth line trainee driver for Old Oak Common?

This may be a long shot but has anyone heard anything back yet?

I applied on the 13th of June and did my test that comes with the application (SJT) a few days after that and it’s been over a month now. I know a few people were rejected a few days later so I’m not sure what this means (I’m a baby in the rail industry) lol

I know that so many people apply so recruitment moves quite slowly but would love some peace of mind to see if anyone has gotten an acceptance response or moving forward to next rounds or any response in general. :) Thank you.

What application pool was this for? Was this for 1156 which closed on the 19th june, 3 days after you got a rejection notice? I applied for that one and still havent got any response.

Hey dude, same position as you!
Im yet to also get a reply. I did my SJT on about the 15th in the morning, and ever since no reply has come yet. I think us two might be lucky and are in the lengthy stage afterwards of waiting till the OPC/group boarding happens. But who knows. Have you received a response by now?

Thread is a little quiet so I am guessing those who applied recently haven't heard anything regarding the OPC assessments or next stage of application?

Does anyone know roughly how many people are on each course? and also where the training takes place?

I believe it’s 8-10 per course.
Classroom training taking place mostly at Old Oak Common Depot.
15 for this recruitment drive I believe (1156).

Yeah, looking above I’ve seen many were rejected shortly after the post date for undisclosed reasons, a lot of us including me have yet to receive any type of response. No news is good news maybe, have you applied?

I passed all assessments and DMI for Abbey Wood back in Feb 26. I am still in the holding pool awaiting start date... Does anyone have any idea how long the wait could be? Desperate to get going now.

Don't panic guys... I started my process in Mid 2024, passed all tests and interviews in early 25 and I'm now in a holding pool awaiting a start date... Hang in there.

Was this also a holding pool, presumably for Abbey Wood? All of us are talking about the vacancy which ended on I believe the 16th of June, it's now been 2 months with no response from them.
