What a find! Excellent.

Can’t be many of those around now.

A friend of mine had a Dormobile version and it was lovely inside. I certainly drove a few standard van versions back in the day and they actually drove quite nicely.

They also made a pretty decent pseudo A Team van with a decent respray.

Sadly a Humber Sceptre went up in flames yesterday causing traffic chaos for a while.

Sunday afternoon shopping on the south coast. My wife was more interested in the cosmetics and clothes. My attention was more of these two beauties..
Fiat 500 estate - yes, a 3-door load lugger. Its owner assured me this variant is a Fiat original. In all my years, I've only ever seen the 2-door.
Rover P6 2200TC, a welcome sight in this colour.

I had no idea that they did an estate version of the 500. It looks quite nice as well.

It was in superb condition. Immaculate. I was rather envious!

Fiat 500 Giardiniera (the 3-door estate variant) accounted for about 3% of Fiat 500's total production.

Presumably because by then Jewett had ceased trading and mention of a current car manufacturer might be a breach of the broadcasting code.

I do spend a lot of time checking for auto - 'corrections' but that escaped me. Who is Jewett anyway?...
The Jowitt Bradford van of distant memory, 4 wheels but small and flimsy-looking, I wouldn't like to have been in one in a collision... Did this model replace the 'cycle vans'? - cycle vans were small box vans with a two wheel axle at the back, and motorcycle-type forks and wheel at the front. An uncle ran a business and had one, he was an entrepreneur

When I was still in Edinburgh that was owned by a black cab driver and could usually be seen parked on his driveway in Colinton, but if I remember right he sold it a few years ago.
Good to see it's still in use and being looked after.

I've perused a bit online and it's not quite as wow under the skin: nat-asp 5.7 litre V8 delivered 185bhp or 220bhp (OEM options) and its rear rubber still relied on leaf springs.
The owner mentioned he'd owned a 2006 Jaguar XK - which, to him, is all the things the 'Vette is not. Perhaps dreams are best left as dreams...
