Class 43 disposals

43091, which turned up at a small railway site in Henstridge last summer, is now reported by WNXX as being dismantled at that site. If memory serves me right, I think rumour was it was for component recovery for somebody - LSL keeps coming to mind but can't for the life of me think why they would move it to that location. Either way though, 091 is another one down!

I guess stuff like doors, fuel tank, bogie frames, wheelsets, cab, compressors etc and maybe electrical cubicle and brake frame would be the same, but AIUI all the LSL power cars are VP185s and maybe engine room components not so useful of 43091 was MTU powered.

It's not quite dismantled as of yesterday - seen with most of the back end stripped away but the centre body and cab section still intact.

Reported on WNXX that 43290 has been cut up by EMR at Bodens Colwick at the same time as the DCR pair 60057 & 60075

I'm going to guess the two above from February. When I went past Laira last weekend I was surprised to see two powercars still there though, given GWR have been done with them for 6 months now.

Because they are both franchise assets rather than being leased from Angel or FRH, so will be a different disposal route.

43186 & 43187, and presumably some MK3s too, are being moved from Ely to Doncaster today by 37512, I'd guess for the open day on Saturday.

43367 not visible at Ely Papworth on my visit today. Had previously been adjacent to the 156.
