"Trivia" Through stations with extremely few passenger trains which do not call

Back in the day most Hastings services, whether from Charing Cross or Cannon Street, didn't stop at London Bridge with next stop typically being Orpington or even Sevenoaks.

A good example, although as you know nowadays everything in the WTT does stop there, but during engineering some do run through non stop, for example upcoming XC Diverts and the odd EMR (one of which I did from Derby to Bedford with no stops)

We've had Hull Trains diversions on occasional weekends over the last few years as well, all non-stoppers.
LNER had one of their Hitachi units through a week or so back too, gauging tests in connection with possible future diversions.

Lancaster's skipped by two Glasgow – West Midlands – Euston services, the Caledonian Sleeper(s) and Lumo, with everything else calling.

Swindon (everything calls except 2 tpd from Paddington to Swansea / Carmarthen and Lumo Carmarthen services when / if they start, and the Night Riviera when diverted there).

Weston-super-Mare (one CrossCountry service in each direction) and Northampton (a late night Manchester to Euston) are cases of the only passenger services passing through being ones which I suspect are to keep route knowledge.

Banbury (skipped by five CrossCountry services on the Reading to York / Newcastle route).

Brockenhurst (two morning London-bound and four evening Weymouth South Western services don't call).

Colchester and Manningtree (08:00 Norwich to Liverpool Street and 17:00 return).

Wakefield Westgate, I don't think it has any anymore. There was possibly one at one point not too long ago.

Skipton, Barrow, Whitehaven, Workington and Carnforth too I imagine.

Exeter St Davids and Plymouth have pretty much everything, even almost every railtour calls here. The closest Exeter SD comes to being skipped is the 12:03 Paddington-Penzance being pickup only here on an otherwise non-stop leg.

Similarly, Taunton has everything except the 10:03 and 12:03 from Paddington.

Andover? Certainly a few years back there was an XC route knowledge special that was non-stop Basingstoke to Southampton that way but everything that called. Romsey would be similar.

Just to be clear, the qualification is that there has to be a minimum of 1 train that’s booked to pass through non-stop? Otherwise there must be loads.

At Hag Fold there are normally 2 trains per hour during the day that stop, with only a few not:
The ex-05:34 from Manchester, the 12:20 from Blackburn (which also skips Hindley), and the 20:16 from Leeds (which also skips Hindley)

The 12:20 from Blackburn is followed closely behind by a freight train which needs to use the single line section towards Headbolt Lane which it can't do until the train has reached Rainford on its journey back.
To reach Hag Fold from it it's only a short double back via Daisy Hill.

And Hindley (normally 4 trains per hour during the day) is only skipped by the two mentioned above.

Indeed, although I did pass through Waterloo East non stop when it was closed for a security alert once I think.

Yes as you say, but may also include stations which see passenger trains passing through non-stop on an established diversionary route from their booked route and where everything else stops.

Whoops - missed that one. Even I am not usually up at that time!
Obviously there would be precious little point in stopping - the Pompey running just ahead of it serves the intermediates to Westbury and the next London will be in Reading ages before it. Stopping at Bath on the off chance that there’s someone there at 05.20 who needs a through service to one of the Kennett Valley stations would be a waste of brake-blocks. (Yes, I know….)

Not bad when years ago when it was 4 trains per hour off peak on the Portsmouth Direct, only two stopped there.

I'm not very familiar with the station, but from the RailCam camera, it seems there are ~2tph non-stop with Avanti

Yes perhaps I should have some kind of additional clause to exclude "peak-time fasts". I was brought up in Helensburgh at a time when there was an 0810 Limited Stop train for Glasgow commuters with 9am starts and also the "Bowler Hat Express" at 0829 for those whose arrival time at work had a bit more leeway.
These were additional to the normal half-hourly service and no longer exist as the half-hourly service contains the demand.

Several of those each & every day, Avanti trains between London Euston and Glasgow Central, first stop = Warrington Bank Quay.
