Fair to say that most of us haven't got a clue when it comes to the D numbers of 47s. Even the Generators are one digit out!

It carried the name Rebecca when with Colas and now with GBRf carries the name Edinburgh Castle but is currently for sale.
That was a duff question to ask so over to you for something better.
When delivered new the 58 North British type2 diesel electrics had their first allocations to just 4 loco sheds.
Which sheds were these?
(ie which sheds would have been the first to affix their shed plates, subsequent reallocations not of interest)

I think the first ones arrived on the Great Eastern so I'll say Stratford and Ipswich.
If some went to the ScR first I'll say Kittybrewster.
No idea on the 4th one so I'll say Norwich.

I'm sure Scotland got a batch from new as @Peterthegreat suggests, so surely some of them must have gone to Eastfield at least for a short while, given it was about a mile away from the factory?
