With the northern paper offer, I can’t tell from the T&Cs if the only ticket available on a weekend is the full weekend one. If I’m travelling only tomorrow is the £12 ticket available or only the £20 one for all weekend ?

Its £12.00 for a day ticket (which you can use for one day at the weekend) or £20.00 for a 2 day weekend ticket.

This is correct. I’ve had £12 tickets for use just on a Saturday or just on a Sunday.

Thank you!! I would hope that’s the case however someone from northern’s socials has said the opposite , guess I’ll find out tomorrow haha
T and c’s on the form you have to download to use with the vouchers are clear so ticket office staff will understand this in my experience.

On printing the form , clearly says one day tickets are available every day throughout the period so shouldn’t be an issue hopefully :)

Thank you , had no problem this morning , the friendly member of staff in the ticket office asked if I’d like a day or weekend ticket when I presented the form

Good to know! Weather today good for rail roving.
Good to know the ticket office staff more knowledgeable than the staff in the social media team.

So I just got some codes from the super league form. Comparing the tickets, as far as I can see:

- Super league tickets, £10 per person, last day of validity 18 Jul, eticket, 0930 start time
- Newspaper tickets, £12 per person, last day of validity 16 Jul, paper ticket, 0845 start time

I think that’s correct. Obv you have to pay for the newspapers. But that easily gets unlimited vouchers if you can find enough copies in a shop.

Have you got a link to that date? I had 23rd June in my head as the end of the superleague promotion. Would be great to have nearly an extra month if I've missed something

I used my first code today, no issue.

Using the codes on the northern app, there are phantom trains that stop on 18 July

Possibly even easier to use different email addresses to get more online codes, unless that’s against the spirit of the promotion!

I got a error code 29 at Leeds on the Northern promo ticket. I was all set to explain what "Nth Destination" means, and show off my newly-learnt knowledge of my chosen rugby league team but it was let through without having to.

50 per cent off London Northwestern via sign up code, London Birmingham £4.50, London Liverpool £7
The main catch is it seems London Euston cannot be used as the start point ?.

Another cach is you need a phone that you can install their app on.

Yep, it seems to be for to London only.
[SWEEPING GENERALISATIONS INCOMING!!]

I know that all train travel is a good thing, induced demand et-cetera, but surely (in terms of geographical inequality) we'd want to incentivise Londoners to travel elsewhere by train and boost regional economies in Coventry and Birmingham, instead of inducing further demand TO a capital that already finds its infrastructure overcrowded and is relatively well-funded versus the North and Midlands - no?

[Sincerely,
A bitter Londoner who just wants a cheap day trip to Birmingham :) ]

Maybe that's why I was never sent an email about this offer...
I can book a return in June with the code emailed me from London Euston to Birmingham New Street for £9 and there's the same price for someone wanting a return in the opposite direction, from Birmingham New Street to London Euston. It works for a return to or from London Euston.

That's the price you pay for living in London. Most operators going North/West would rather charge you a premium fare for travelling on virtually empty trains out of London and giving cheap advances on full off peak ticketed trains

In other words e tickets only? A pity if so as i picked up the tickets from my local station on the promotion last year. I have no interest in installing their app on my phone (not even sure if i can as I can't do the Ryanair one) so my loss but a loss i can live with.

You don't need the app, but they are etickets emailed to you (no other delivery option).

The London Northwestern site wouldn't offer any delivery options for this promotion if I added Plusbus tickets (which were offered).

Norther Train day / weekend ranger ticket Vouchers in Daily Star and Daily Mirror in Nottingham newsagents today - probably printed all week up to April 26th. Got some from the railway station co-op.
Newspaper sellers south of the river presumably sell the same printed copies this week with vouchers in them too - eg your local supermarket / mini market or newsagent

Today it is printed on page 22 on the Mirror, and you only need 2 copies for one days / one weekends travel
Thanks :D I'd figured I would check in the Morrisons where I do my weekly shopping and found that they had them there so I managed to get enough tokens to use the offer a couple of times.
