Maybe they could use single deckers while this is happening.or it might not be feasible.Unless the trees have been cut, then the 45 will likely be curtailed again.

Who owns the trees? The council has the powers to force land owners to deal with overhanging vegetationUnless the trees have been cut, then the 45 will likely be curtailed again.
Power is one thing, will is another.Who owns the trees? The council has the powers to force land owners to deal with overhanging vegetation
I'm not sure if it is permitted to cut them at this time of year anyway as wildlife will likely be nesting in them.Who owns the trees? The council has the powers to force land owners to deal with overhanging vegetation
Update - this shuttle service is being operated by Ratho Coaches and today is using SN21 RDX and SM73 JZR.An additional Cramond Shuttle service is now mentioned on the council website, running to Davidson’s Mains, and says it is using a 16 seater minibus, I wonder if this is being operated by Lothian Motorcoaches?

What work is being done at Volvo?SN13 BCZ, former number 4, will be picked up by the Highland Council on Wednesday and taken to Volvo for preparation. The other two are now back from Volvo and are having their bandit screens removed.
Inspections, as all Highland Council vehicles are maintained by Volvo and Scania, the MOTs for the ADL and Turismos are also done by Volvo. What work is being done at Volvo?
Ahh I see, thanks.Inspections, as all Highland Council vehicles are maintained by Volvo and Scania, the MOTs for the ADL and Turismos are also done by Volvo.
Back in the early 90s, in the LRT era, two Olympians had roof fleetnumbers - 804 on its front dome and 808 on its roof panels at the front of the bus.How many Lothian vehicles have fleet numbers on the roof?
I was in a high building on Friday and saw one of the 11 plates, from memory 378, had its number in foot-high black letters on the roof towards the rear of the vehicle.
None of the other Lothian vehicles I saw from above had similar…
I've noticed quite a few like that. From an enthusiast point of view it makes it more interesting and gives more character but from a point of view of them not being that old it's not great. Was following 796 this morning and couldn't believe how the rear destination display was so faded as to be almost unreadable.
That should not be the case on a vehicle less than a year old.
(When I passed it, I could see the front display was fine.)
Cramond Shuttle. That is 1019 back in service, anyone know what it is covering for?

I believe they’re currently working their way through 571-590 at the moment. These are losing their bottom deck screens in favour of two separate dot matrix’s - one facing each way. Upstairs the advertising screen and the next stop screen have been swapped around. All the MMCs seem to now be fitted with the new stop announcements and screens. Are the remaining batches with the 2017-2022 system likely to follow suit anytime soon?
I'm surprised that they are removing the screens as it seems a backwards step.I believe they’re currently working their way through 571-590 at the moment. I suspect this set up will be unique to these hybrids owing to the awkward positioning of the wheelchair space.
Remember to do this they’d need to go through the legal process via the DVSA for each vehicle. This would mean taking every single bus affected to the DVSA centre in Pumpherston to be assessed as it’s a change of capacity. For so little gain, it’s not worth doing.I'm also surprised that these haven't had their luggage racks removed in exchange for 2 more seats.
I didn't realise thanks for explaining makes sense now.Remember to do this they’d need to go through the legal process via the DVSA for each vehicle.
