Yeah I believe everyone who gets that email is through to testing. I've applied twice and received that email both times to progress
I never got the email but have passed all the recruitment process so I wouldn't read too much into it. That could be depot specific though.

It's a long process. I first applied in June 2025 and following all the tests etc got a.talent pool spot in February 2026. Basically if you haven't had a rejection email you're still in the running!

Congratulations! Which depot is that for?

Definitely seems quicker than Scotrail! Took 19 months from application to get to DMI stage

Strange one then.
Makes 3 of us on here that are waiting for the results for Liverpool. I believe I was on part 1 of the psychs the same day as you and Alliekt were (assuming you are the ones who were sat on the same table as eachother)
It’s a waiting game isn’t it? They’ll be in touch I’m sure of it.
Have you received your email following your MMI? I've still not received anything.. I done mine on 6th March so its 10 days tomorrow!

Nah not yet, still time though. With Scotrail you can wait months for an email

I didn’t get the email. I think it’s because they closed the advert and have lots of people who already completed that stage. Did you get the email?
Just got my email for the next assessment just now

Think I got through about 36-38 of them. Got the “with the hiring manager for review” email almost as soon as I had finished

I got that email too. I read above someone else got over 30 too. Not sure I’m in with a shout then, but who knows. It’s a waiting game now.

I sat and passed the paper tests about a month ago but haven’t heard anything since the pass email, I know it’s not a quick process but wondered if anyone knew how long the wait usually can be. Cheers

Back in August 25, it was within a week, but that was when they were recruiting for 6 different depots...
I can imagine they might be waiting for a few candidates before they book the OPC...
It might be worth emailing the recruitment team?

Afternoon all,

I have recently been told I have passed the process for TPE Liverpool Lime St and have been placed in the talent pool. I believe this is because I had a holiday date clashing with he course start date of October.

Does anyone have any info on TPE waiting times or proceeds now I am sat in the talent pool? It says it is only valid for 1 year, I'm guessing after that if have to DMI again?

Thanks all

Was at assessment centre in Leeds yesterday and just had an unsuccessful email I’m guessing for the MMI part, best of luck to everyone else!

Oh sorry mate. I was there too... That's rapid. I didn't think we'd hear until next week

You might be in luck as recruitment is moving fast at the moment. But after they year it wouldn’t surprise me if you would need to apply again from the beginning, don’t quote me on that but the whole point of a talent pool is being there and ready to go without the need to go through the application process again.
Your psychometrics would still be valid but you may need to pass the initial online sift.

It’s a bit late now but if getting this job is a considerable pay upgrade and a lifelong dream I wouldn’t have taken the holiday and would have made myself available for training whenever they needed me.

Congrats on getting to the talent pool! It's a great achievement!

It usually means you're next in line IF another position opens within the next 12 months. But unfortunately, there's no guarantee...

When I took my first job on the railway, I had to move a holiday.

I was in the talent pool, and I sent an email to recruitment after a few months just saying that I'm happy to be in the talent pool still and still interested in a position.

I was very lucky, I got a conditional offer after 4 months, although, it's been another 3 months and I'm still waiting for my contract (done my DBS and medical)

Has anybody got their assessment centre this coming week? I’m surprised it’s come round so quick having only done the online tests mid march?

To say I feel underprepared is an understatement!
