How could the effects of the Glasgow Central closure be mitigated?

As someone mentioned on WNXX it would be good if Avanti called at Lockerbie through the day. Lockerbie is normally served by TPE.

Avanti are making some additional calls at Lockerbie, but mostly in the 9Mxx/9Sxx via Birmingham services rather than the 1Mxx/1Sxx Trent Valley fasts (though one or two of those do appear to be calling additionally at Lockerbie).

Presume platform 7 is the very lowest-numbered platform that's been used for trains in public service at Glasgow Central today?

Can only see the 1614 Avanti departure from Motherwell as still being routed via Birmingham New Street today. Think a handful of others were also planned, but didn't actually get sent that way, this in reaction to the OHLE problems in the Preston area earlier.

Just one early via Birmingham from Glasgow Central, 3 more during the day from Motherwell.
The rest are diverted to Edinburgh (pretty much in the paths TPE are not using as they are mostly turning at Carlisle).

Yes, they're using 7-15 as those are the ones that are accessible without having to use the main concourse area, which is still closed.
