If the connection works that might be worthwhile, that section of the 270 is very scenic, though it has to be single-deck due to 2 low bridges, one of which (under the Bluebell Railway) you would pass under.I did wonder if to replace the 84 with a run from Crawley to East Grinstead via Buxshalls on the 272 and 270 for better views from the Top Deck
However the 84 is also pretty, and one of the more difficult routes to work in the area - steep hills and tight bends near Weir Wood Reservoir. (when it went "round the Cat" - West Hoathly village - it was even worse!)
