I have only ever seen this advert once and such was the utter stupidity of it that the product name became so utterly forgettable. Howsoever, whilst you may not have seen it to recognise it, there may well be others on this thread who have seen it.Could you at least tell us which company the advert was for so we can look it up?

It was to me, but I readily accept that others would not share my mindset over this matter.
It was an annoying TV advert to me, as mentioned in the title of this thread, but it may not have been annoying to others.

Sort-of Swedish. The company is based there, but is Chinese owned, partly directly and partly through Volvo, which is owned by the same Chinese conglomerate. The cars are built in China, Korea and USA.

There are hundreds of television channels available across multiple broadcast platforms and they don't all show the same adverts. Online-only viewing is also becoming more prevalent and companies will often have different adverts for different audiences.
If you're going to post a critique of an advert that irks you, the very least you could do is to remember the name of the company! If you didn't catch it the first time, could you not wait until you see the advert again before returning to these pages to post your thoughts?

The TV advert in question was on one of the main UK free to air TV channels, such as ITV. As I remarked in reply to your posting earlier, there may well have been other thread contributors who recognised this advert and immediately, one such person made a posting of recognition.
I was not aware that you had now achieved moderation status on this website, allowing you to pass admonishments on to those website members you feel had gone against the rules of this website. Most moderators would have dealt with this matter by opening a conversation in which your views would be expressed privately. Instead, by the very nature of repeated referrals to the matter, you keep referring to the matter in postings upon this thread, bringing back a memory of a saying much used by Vic Reeves....."He wouldn't let it lie"..
I diagnose a case in which "backseat moderation" appears to be a symptom.
Yes heard this advert on my wife's car radio, yes on Heart. Wasn't paying much attention until mentioned the class 73 bit. I suppose implying it sounds like a steam locomotive is more descriptive than sounding like a diesel where it hardly makes any noise at all, though it's still wrong. Probably only 0.01% of the listening public would know anyway!

Not so much an advert, but a trailer. The way C4 endlessly plug their docu-drama’s. The latest one for Dirty Business appears after nearly every ad break. I’m getting fed up with hearing “Is it pooh?” every 15mins.

The oft-repeated advert for 'Zebra Bingo' is starting to grind my gears, especially so the (possibly overdubbed) maniacal laughter towards the end of each and every showing of this particular ad.

One of the higher numbered Freeview channels ("That's TV" (UK)). Shown just about every ad break. Definitely best avoided!

Re-runs of a small number of classic 1970s/1980s BBC1 + ITV1 comedy/drama programmes. Some are much better than others.

...which in itself has an inordinate number of adverts on, but nowhere near as much as channel 84 ( "PBS America" ) where interesting war documentaries are ruined with ad breaks up to 7 minutes long.

That's strange l quite like the voice giving a strong impression of meaning business. I was going to look more into it quite like the all in one services it advertises. But if it means you need stocks and shares it won't be ideal for me not having any.

There's a Currys advert doing the rounds on YouTube where someone brings in a "vintage" appliance to get a 10% trade in discount.
Said vintage appliance seems to be a Sebo X4 Automatic, not vintage at all and not something I would be trading in for anything sold at Currys, even if it was broken (Sebo parts are plentiful and rarely difficult to replace). It's a premium vacuum and worth more than the 10% off a small appliance they are giving you for it.
At work I use a bit bashed around Sebo X1 Automatic that is probably a minimum of 30 years old that I got from a charity shop, had It's repairable faults but they don't seem to affect performance. As for bags and filters, they are still easy to acquire as Sebo's current X series machine, the X7, uses the same ones.

Having watched the Dormeo mattress television adverts for what seems an eternity, am I supposed to believe that if you have such a mattress, you do not need to have a duvet on the bed, as none of the people shown in these adverts have no such top covering?

The Jane Plan advert with Shaun Wallace. He’s overacting far too much!
Have mentioned in another thread at some point but the sheer volume of EE adverts across the media spectrum irritates me to no end. Usually with boastful and questionable claims about being the number one choice among consumers in the same vein of different brands of toothpaste claiming that dentists recommend them the most. Mercifully they no longer have Kevin Bacon of Footloose fame narrating the radio and TV ads, but the background song still gets my goat...
