Seen in EY's depot today the following observations:

1. 20927 has lost its Invade York branding
2. A bunch of 69 plates (NMK being latest) have received back adverts
3. 20891 is still in unbranded Yellow
4. 20085 (devoid of MOT) is still in the coaching lot
5. 20010 has seemingly lost its National Express branding
6. 20820 is currently in there with a part taken out of the front
7. I encountered 3/4 Olympus parked in the electric part along with 20830
8. 20083 was inside the depot seemingly being worked on
9. 20939 was near what looks to be a diesel generator

20820 broke down this morning near the Uni

20891 and the other open tops will be going in to the new universal GoAhead seaside branding, similar to which Eastbourne Sightseeing is being changed into (owned by B&H)

I'm on the Friends of Moorsbus mailing list, and I've received an email from them saying that timetables will be uploaded in "early March" so we shall have to wait and see.

Same, but I happened to be on bustimes and spotted YP's trips up for viewing. I hope that the EY times will be up with the others as last year it was very late in going on as I recall. My feeling is that the M1 arrival will fit in with both the 28 and M6 as it did last year with the half hour break at Pickering

Yes I saw the M6 timetables on Bustimes. I imagine your feeling will be true on Saturdays but, if EY is running the M7 to Helmsley on Sundays (which I suspect they are), then there is little purpose in the M1 connecting with the 28 and perhaps might connect with the M6 or M3 (the latter being run by Arriva apparently) up to Danby.

Wonders how long before they list under North Riding the list all of Procters services.

The 182 has been removed completely from EY's website, it doesn't come when searching for it under the timetables section. The 28/L28 only appears with a search, its not listed under North Riding or on the main timetables page.

Interesting, I wonder if that means EY will operate some M3s during the day between Pickering & Danby on Sundays & Bank Holidays. Looking at the registration search, Arriva has also registered the M4 between Saltburn and Sutton Bank and the M5 between Stockton and Helmsley.

Imagine it will do because otherwise the M1 vehicle would just sit at Pickering for hours... And don't forget that its running Saturdays this year too which I wonder if it is to try and avoid the overcrowding to the point of full and standing several times in 2025

Its entirely possible that this year, that Pickering to Danby could get up to a hourly service with a combination of two ops (three if you include YP's M6 on one arm of it) which, I can imagine, might be useful for local residents of the area to go to Pickering to do the Big Shop instead of ordering for delivery.

Edit: Given that Moorbus is running Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays and Good Friday is a Bank Holiday, could we have a four day weekend for the first week?

I find it unreasonable that EY expects parents to hand over their child's passport so that they can travel on a bus. The bus should be a source of freedom and independence for children (particularly teenagers), all this does is act as a hindrance and potentially puts children at risk in the case of a data breach happening.

Think a number of bus comapnies have done this for a long time, made me chuckle as somebody on twitter claims EY are the onky bus company in the UK to do so.

Timetables for the Moorsbus services went live (subject to final approval) with the M1 starting at 08:45

Edit: That includes Saturday/Sunday/Bank Holiday services. Of note is there is no afternoon hanging around at Pickering to connect with other services, but I assume practice will show otherwise assuming there is late running. Also seems double running on the M3 between EY and Arriva but not, it seems, to Pickering

Summer Changes from 29 March:

From 29th March, we will introduce several service changes as we begin ramping up for the busy summer season. These updates are designed to improve reliability, increase capacity where it’s needed most, and help customers make the most of their summer travel plans.

We’re also pleased to introduce exciting changes to Service 15 in York, enhancing the overall journey experience for our passengers.

Coaster 13 Bridlington – Filey - Scarborough
Service 13 will be introduced again from Sunday, 29th March until Sunday, 1st November for the 2026 summer season.

This year we are changing the route in Scarborough to include the popular requested Seafront, Luma Park and Peasholm Park.

From the Bridlington and Filey direction, service 13 will operate via the seafront to the Railway Station. On the return journey to Filey and Bridlington, service 13 will operate direct via Aquarium top. Passengers can board or alight at any stop on the route.

Short journeys on service 13 between Scarborough and Filey will be introduced later in the season, with dates confirmed shortly.

Coaster 14 Bridlington - Flamborough
From Sunday, 29th March 2026, changes to the timetable will be made to improve reliability.

Scarborough Park and Ride 64 & 165
Scarborough Park & Ride services will be introduced from Sunday 29th March until Sunday 1st November from the Seamer Road, and Filey Road sites.

Ride Scarborough Seafront with Service 99!
Service 99 will start from Saturday, 28th March 2026, operating every 20 minutes between 10:00 and 18:20 on Saturdays, Sundays and school holidays until Sunday, 12th July 2026. From Saturday 18th July until Sunday 6th September 2026, service 99 will operate every day with services running every 10 minutes between 10:00 and 19:40.

Moorsbus runs until the end of September, not end of October as this claims, looks like the end date of DalesBus was just copied for the Moorsbus services incorrectly.

Surprised about the 15, looks like EY is taking on First's 11. Both have their advantages, the 15 provides a faster journey to the City (although the 11 isn't currently using the South Bank loop due to roadworks) and a Sunday journey but the 11 has later journeys Monday-Saturday and provides more journey options to the other side of York in Heworth. Either way, I'll be interested to see what the outcome is as both are my local bus routes into the City. I hope the 11 doesn't go as its a useful service for me to get over to Heworth from the South of York.

Following on from the service changes this week, Pocklington now operates all 18 journeys seemingly (taking over from Elloughton) although this may change next week as schools are back. This is currently interworked with the additional Y12 journey.

I've seen some rumours that Morse Coaches will be operating the 81 & 194 out of their Sheriff Hutton depot instead of from Scarborough, can anyone confirm if this is true?

That will be because Arriva are apparently working the M7 & M8, so the vehicle operating the M3 from Darlington will continue from Pickering to Helmsley as the M7, and then from Helmsley onto Castle Howard as the M8. The afternoon layover allows passengers to connect off the M7 from Helmsley on Sundays & Bank Holidays. On Saturdays, there is no connection between the 28 & M1 in the afternoon without 1+ hours transfer in Pickering.

There’s only 2 left to do isn’t they? - 20824 and 20827

20818 was done a while back but is VOR and parked up
20832/3/4 are already diesel vehicles from B&H (I think!) but no idea where these are at the moment or if they will even enter service
