Now that 50050 has returned from Barrow hill, is there any test runs planned before it's London outing in the 12th

I believe the plan was for 50050 to lead from Barrow Hill to Crewe but it wasn't fit to run so the other loco (can't remember what it was now) dragged it back. Not ideal having spent so long undergoing maintenance at Barrow Hill but presumably an issue they felt could be repaired at Crewe so hopefully nothing major! On that basis, I would presume it will definitely need a shake down run (and a loaded test run as well probably) at some point in the coming days, if it is going to work the planned outing it has coming up. I would say keep an eye out for any Crewe HS to either Chester or Stafford that appear in the schedules early this week

Could it be a possibly that 40012 could do it, or is that even mainline registered

I think 40012 is going for an overhaul or at least heavy maintenance, don’t think it’s due to be on the mainline for a couple of years. (I may be wrong)

0D41 Crewe H.S to Chester
5D41 Crewe H.S to Chester
5P45 Crewe H.S to Cotton Hill T.C.
0D43 Crewe H.S to Chester
And there is also one return train from Crewe H.S to Carlisle Upperby

So have they announced the electric yet? I see the path in RTT is still absolutely magic foul of two track possessions and overtaking services by longjump...

Not yet, it will probably be 86,87 possibly 89 or 90
