I can confirm it’s working the slightly delayed 18:43 from Waterloo - I’m hitching a ride from Richmond to FulwellCrickey - I would say two pairs of 455s out in service was nice BUT three !.
The 18:43 is looking positive for 455717 & 455727 currently (18:28) "At platform", No 18 -btw.
Minor point, but I think 455713 ought to read 455712.There’s nothing currently allocated to 455s, so your best bet is to check throughout the day in case they are substituted in to a diagram. (You can check allocations here: https://live.rail-record.co.uk/allox/ ; the remaining unit numbers are 455713, 455716, 455717, 455721, 455727 and 455732.) No sets were out yesterday (for, I think, the first time on an ordinary weekday…?) so you are reliant on something else failing.
After a five week hiatus another 701 entered service yesterday afternoon as well so I think 455 workings are going to start becoming somewhat rarer. There are now 37 701s for 34 diagrams. There’s nothing currently allocated to 455s, so your best bet is to check throughout the day in case they are substituted in to a diagram. As it only yesterday give it a chance!1038 did enter service yesterday but failed on its first service and hasn't been back out since![]()
Yes it'll definitely come back at eventually, I guess my point was more that whatever went wrong with it wasn't just a simple fix and carry on or ECS back to Waterloo for the next service, it must have been a more substantial fault. As it only yesterday give it a chance!

It wasn't an easy fix, however following 1036's return yesterday, there were 36 fit units by the afternoon and then down to 35 this morning and no exam immediately due, so there is now very precious wriggle room in the fleet. This is not to say 455s will not come back, as the risk is still currently there with the gradual ramping up of 701 diagrams later this month, especially if no more pass out for service.Yes it'll definitely come back at eventually, I guess my point was more that whatever went wrong with it wasn't just a simple fix and carry on or ECS back to Waterloo for the next service, it must have been a more substantial fault.
Anyways, I'll stop clogging up the 455 thread with 701 messages now![]()
455717+455727 at Waterloo working 2K13, 0827 rounder via Kingston. Returns at 1000 the other direction and repeats every 3 hours.
I will try to catch this then it may be my last ! Am doing that journey this morning anyway. At the moment, yes. I suspect they will get swapped at some point in the day as the diagram they are currently on does not take them back to Wimbledon Park Depot.

It would be lovely to have one on the Sheppy branch next weekend...Oh what do I know about when they put them out as there was no shortage of 701s on Saturday![]()
Do I want another last ride on them......Oh what do I know about when they put them out as there was no shortage of 701s on Saturday![]()
