Victoria Underground station emergency closure (09/01)

Does anyone know the cause of the emergency closure of Victoria Underground station last night (around 11pm when I was looking to get a tube)

Automated emergency announcement playing at one of the entrances, some staff closing up others, seemed to be sone police presence at others too

Not something I’ve ever come across in my travels to London, eventually I worked out which bus to catch instead

Guessing it must have been something pretty serious for the whole thing to be evacuated and closed off but I can’t see anything today looking at the news

As per TfL social media, it was closed due to a fire alert. Unlikely to be in the news given these incidents happen a couple of times a day typically.

He has quite a few videos in tube stations where he sets off the fire alarms. He as a rather stupid individual. He posts evidence of himself setting off the fire alarms so it would be very easy to find him.

I'm not a pearl clutching type but the sheer mindless stupidity... it's not even creative or interesting which you can at least argue some graffiti/trolling/urbex/pranking/pen testing/etc is, it's literally just making the world worse for no reason.

Point of order: pen testing (penetration testing) is a legitimate commercial service. Those who might use the term to describe their own amateur activities are doing so incorrectly.

A good comparison would be using "locksmith" to incorrectly describe a jewel thief.

TikTok prankster Mizzy has been sentenced to 18 weeks' detention in a young offender institution.

The 19-year-old, whose real name is Bacari-Bronze O'Garro, was found guilty of two counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order.
The court order banned him from sharing videos of people without their approval.
He was found to have "deliberately flouted" the order "within hours" of it being passed in May.
In one video, passers-by were in the background as Mizzy said to the camera: "The UK law is a joke."
Sentencing O'Garro at Stratford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, Judge Matthew Bone told him "put bluntly your pranks are not funny".

Hopefully. I do differentiate him from Mizzy though because a) Mizzy did a lot more harm b) while as an adult they're unimpressive, you could understand that for some idiotic teenagers some of Mizzy's videos would be amusing. I don't understand how anyone of any demographic could think setting off a fire alarm and wandering off is worthwhile content. It's not that it has no net merit, it's that it's literally meritless. There are very few videos you can say that about, but the above is one. Mizzy can probably grow up and become a productive member of society. This guy is just doomed to being a pointless loser.

Indeed - it's just fully moronic!

He says "let me know what you want me to do" a few times over the the latter part of the video... along with the soul destroying comment that he's "trying to push more content out"... anyway my immediate thought was that people should suggest he goes and sets off some fire alarms in police stations, or maybe the lobbies of well policed government buildings (MoD, Thames House, Cabinet Office, Parliament...).

As you suggest, I doubt there's much else in this guy's life. Which is sad.
