Only Cambridge and Kings Lynn drivers sign north of Cambridge, and only Cambridge drivers sign 700s, Kings Lynn do not. So whenever 700s have been used north of Cambridge, it's been withPresumably 700s being scheduled to run some services routinely retains driver knowledge?
a Cambridge driver.
Cambridge drivers routinely drive 700s on the route to London or Brighton, so there is no traction retention reason that a 700 must go north of Cambridge at any time.
King's Lynn drivers can drive them south of Cambridge. They used to drive 313s, and went to Moorgate. They probably still do the same with 717s.
Kings Lynn only sign 387s and 379s. They used to sign 313s and Moorgate up until 2017, when they lost Moorgate, and 2018 when they lost all 313 work. Cambridge and Peterborough lost their Moorgate and 313 work at the same time.
