Today me and my younger brother travelled from Kilburn High Road to Oval Station. We were initially going to East Dulwich meaning we went from Kilburn to Willesden Junction then down to Clapham Junction but then we went to Balham to get the Northern Line train up to Oval instead.
Basically my brother possesses a 16+ oyster card but for the journey he was charged £4.10? Something which I didn't get as one cash fare journey is £4 if I'm correct? So at Oval we asked the assistant and he wasn't sure why he was charged so much as the start and end destination was in Zone 2 and not once did we venture into zone 1.
My only idea is that we travelled at peak time, but even then is it that much?
Sorry if I'm being stupid and the answer is really obvious....
Thanks
