After those two long train journeys, we take advantage of the overnight travel relaxation rule and leave the station and take a five minute walk to the bus stop on Station Road, where we next board the 0640 Stagecoach Manchester service 100 to Howley (the bus stop outside the Parish Church on Church Street) that arrives there at 0707 on Friday.

You pipped me at the post as I was just going to leave that same bus stop in Wigan, some 20 minutes earlier after leaving the station and at the adjacent bus stances on Wallgate to board the 1124 Arriva Merseyside service 385 to Kew Southport Hospital on Scarisbrick New Road that arrives there at 1309 on Friday and from where other connecting buses can be sourced.

Is the service 375 the only valid onwards bus service to use from this stop as the other two that I traced look like school bus services?
Arrival is at 13.08.
With only the 375 available we next take the 14.08 service alighting at Kew, Southport Hospital at 14.25 on Friday.

I used the Friday, 9th January in my "thwarted" posting, as I had a feeling the it would be Monday, 5th January before normal service timetables were operational. Good to see we are now at the same hospital where my posting took us.
