Any word on what will happen to GWR's Class 43s in the near future? Seeing as GWR is getting the 175s soon, are they going to be sent for services elsewhere, or banished to Mexico?

By getting on, you mean how much of it is left? Gradually being robbed......
I was wondering how much had been stripped and whether it was ready to final be sent for scrap.

It's been dumped in the servicing for several weeks. Not sure what's left internally but it's got no windscreen and doesn't run.
What’s the “servicing” please?

43094 (I think) is currently at Nemesis Rail (believe Burton On Trent?), this is apparently being kept and not exported currently being stripped.

Wonder what the plan is for it?

43094 appeared at Burton Wetmore today in its new ROMIC livery along with 43122, the pair worked 1205 0Q43 to Mid Norfolk Railway

Seen on WNXX this morning, 43190 has been transported from Nemesis Burton to Stoke Cockshute to provide spares for 125 Group

I saw some social media posts about this over the weekend - seems sensible to me. Break one to keep the others running - although not everyone agreed with that!

There’s a bit of discussion on it here:

It's the only way. I would rather see 2 power cars remain operational at the expense of 2 others rather than have 4 power cars just sat around unable to move

The process of stripping 43083 for disposal at Eastleigh has begun, so another which won’t be around for much longer. It is owned by LSL and was always destined to be a parts donor.

That's correct. Article here: "Ex-British Rail HST Involved in Crash with Trailer in Chiapas, Mexico" https://share.google/LlK9VZhpewu6svGxa
Though the specific power car isn't mentioned in the article, but it has been confirmed it was FIT3014 which was 43378

Only partly. Where is it confirmed that FIT3014 has been written off?
Written off is probably over stated, as the loco is intact from the bulkhead, with only the cab missing. As for the ID, a HST specific group on Facebook

Suspect a new cab may be on it's way, given there is one in Dereham yard outside the Romic offices!

Do the Mexican maintenance staff have the ability to swap the cab over and then fit all the gubbins ? Or did they buy some kind of maintenance contract with the power cars and trailers - presumably from ROMIC ?
