.... Gatwick Flyaway tickets have reappeared for travel to/from Gatwick Airport via Gomshall from North Downs Line (NDL) stations from Guildford to Reading and from other GWR stations further afield, such as Swindon and Bath Spa.
They are priced for groups of 2, 3 or 4 adults and travel can be made at any time.
Prices from NDL stations:-
£74 from Reading
£69 from Wokingham, Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Blackwater and Farnborough North
£59 from North Camp, Ash, Wanborough and Guildford
Under 16s accompanying the adults travel for £1.
Prices from Swindon, Bath, etc are significantly higher but can still be good value if travelling at peak times.
According to this page - https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ticket-types/tickets/g2f/ - Flyaway tickets can only be purchased from ticket offices and proof of an airline booking may be requested.

This probably explains why Advance Singles from some North Downs Line stations to Gatwick "disappeared" from booking sites a couple of months ago!

Have just learnt that the Gatwick Flyaway ticket was quietly withdrawn by GWR in January. Means that for the 2 of us to travel to Gatwick in the peak goes up from £40 to £72, if there is more than 2 of you the cost increase is even more stark. Ah well even with parking charges the car will be...
