I am told that 57305 failed on this train at Ferry hill South Junction. Thunderbird 57008 on 1Z99 from Newark to assist. Wonder why they didn't use 66315 that was on the back. 6E97 stuck behind at Ferry hill.

Possibly because 66 315 is unable to provide hotel power?
It also isn't on the back.
It went back to Ferme Park after doing the ECS working.
57012 is the Newark Thunderbird. 57008 was on the Pathfinder trip this morning.

Is rescue loco 57008? Or the 66 on the freight?

We've been shoved a short distance by the freight loco which was stuck behind us to a loop the thunderbird can access

Yes , hasn't gone out today, there is a generator MK2 coach on board

Is 9525 fitted with a generator? Seems unlikely given that 57306 was taken to Newcastle and back on the tour yesterday.

It's going to be well over 3 hours late by the time it gets going, having said that it's timed for a horse and cart between York and King's Cross ... 4 hours 9 minutes, partly because it goes via Knottingley which I'm guessing it now won't.

Well, it's already got 14 minutes back and it's going straight to Donny, not via Ferrybridge - it was originally timed 56 minutes York to Doncaster. There was a 12 minute pathing stop at Tallington and 10 at Peterborough as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it's "only" 2 hours late back into King's Cross.
Edit: perhaps not, it got looped for 1E28 at Retford and has dropped a load more time.

Wasn't it just held at Retford to let 1E28 past, which has likewise been delayed in that area?Is 57012 now in trouble?

For some reason it didn't show a time it arrived into Ferryhill Sth. Jn. and it instead states N/R

And the story ends with the train arriving into Kings Cross 152 minutes late. I hope all the passengers got home okay.

Copied from another page
66515 detached from its train (6E97) and used to propel 1Z58 (at 19:10) into Ferryhill Up Goods Loop; before returning to take its train to engineering possession. Quoted distance of 43 chains propelled.
57012 attached to front of tour and left Ferryhill Up Goods loop at 20:35 with 57305 DIT.
After departure from York, passengers informed that LNER would accept passengers on 1E28 at Doncaster for an earlier arrival into King's Cross.
Tour passed by 1E28 at Retford and those passengers who transferred to LNER should be in London around midnight giving options for last underground and some mainline trains.
