Is there going to be a 10005 from Swansea to Pembroke Dock in the new timetable?
I though the plan was as to start the service from Carmarthen using the unit which forms the 09:50 services from Fishguard- Carmarthen?

- The current 10:05 Swansea Pembroke Dock service would commence from Carmarthen (passengers from Swansea would be able to connect into the Pembroke service at Carmarthen from an existing Swansea service) (this applies Monday Friday in school term times only. The Swansea connection is maintained on Saturdays, bank holidays and school holidays.
- The current 15:14 Cardiff to Swansea train (Swanline service) would be retimed to a 15:30 departure, enabling it to link with a Swansea Fishguard service as a through train.

That's cleared my head up! There's no need for a 1000 and 1005 departure from Swansea except at holiday times when the Pembroke Dock service is quit ebusy with people going to Tenby. It's good to see that it will still run outside of school times.
There must be something missing though, I can't believe that ATW would leave one unit sitting in Swansea from 0930 ish to 1710.
I see the times from 12th September are now available via National Rail Website.
Looks like the following eastbound from FGH (these are based on searches for 12/09/11).
0653 Fishguard Harbour to Clarbeston Road
0804 Fishguard Harbour to Manchester Piccadilly
0956 Fishguard Harbour to Carmarthen
1330 Fishguard Harbour to Cheltenham Spa
1900 Fishguard Harbour to Clarbeston Road
2050 Fishguard Harbout to Carmarthen
On the return, an interesting working but may be an anomaly?
The proposed 1530 ex Cardiff to Fishguard is a 1514 (current Swanline time) but runs through to Fishguard running non-stop between Llansamlet and Gowerton. Does not show Swansea calling point. Correct or an anomaly?
Im just back from the Royal Welsh Showground, Ill P.M. a couple of you guys about the new timetable & how to get it to you, welcome to our new member timetable. As I have to go to Talacre early tomorrow Ill respond ASAP.
Bit of chaos getting to Bilth Road station with the new bypass this afternoon, no road signage. several missed the train who had attended the Welsh Pony & Cob International Show

The new timetable is now on the arriva website showing the Fishguard extras.
thank you. Now can I get to Fishguard & back on an ATW over 50s rate in a day, sounds like 16 hours on a DMU, perhaps not, leave to the keener addicts
The September to December timetable can be found on the main timetables page:

I remain puzzled by the 0922 arrival into Swansea. This is the 0709 from Pembroke Dock, and I can't work out what it does! Is it attached tot he 1000 departure to Carmarthen, but run seperately as a 1005 for half term week in October?
Or does it just sit in Swansea all day as has been speculated previously/
Could always end up siting in Swansea all day then form the 17:10 Swansea - Cardiff swanline, then the 18:21 WAG2 to Holyhead
How about and additional swanline diagram:
10:10 Swansea - Cardiff (Arr 11:15)
12:14 Cardiff - Swansea (Arr 13:20)
14:10 Swansea - Cardiff (Arr 15:15)
then attaches to the 16:04 Cardiff - Milford Haven service which arrives into Swansea at 17:00 and detaches at Swansea to form the 17:10 Swansea - Cardiff swanline service and then possibly the 18:21 to Holyhead
Other than that then only other thing it could do is yes attach to the rear of the 10:00 departure from Swansea to Carmarthen
If I recall WAG2 was shown in the consultative timetable about a year ago & then dropped from returning to HDD from Swansea.
In its current 175 two coach form as open access (I find ATW cost WAG2 at £312K a coach for half a year, x 2 £625K, the three coach option 175 at £1million was turned down as too expensive).
ATW wont shift it to Swansea out of its 6 hour slumber at Cardiff unless WAG pays, bonkers. I look forward to chapter & verse on Monday evening of how the Fishguard specials ran and were loaded.
