Anyone mentioned Gibraltar yet? Definitely no trains, but there is a level crossing - for planes, not trains.

Thinking about the original post, which was about Dublin, is it true that arguably all Irish airports are not rail connected (including NI as well)?

I think the closest to being rail connected are Kerry (Farranfore is a flat 1km walk) and Belfast City (Sydenham just over the bypass)?

Believe that's correct, although there have been noises about reopening Lisburn-Antrim to provide Belfast Int'l with a rail connection, and about building a connection from Limerick to Shannon Airport (serving Shannon Town and the Business development as it does so)

Although the wires don't reach Chișinău airport (or Prague, I think).

I know the new trolleybus routes in Prague are discontinuously electrified, with the vehicles having batteries to cover gaps in wiring.

The JFK Airtrain runs on conventional standard gauge track, aside from the centre rail for the linear induction motors to work on.

Also it serves a number of separate terminals in a central loop. A direct subway or LIRR link would have trouble negotiating the tight curvature of the elevated loop alignment so would likely have only one roughly central station and still require an APM transfer to each terminal. I think the Airtrain is a good concept for the particular airport layout.

Just like Tees Valley, I wouldn't call a station 30 minutes away an airport station no matter what you call it.

But Teesside Airport station was built for the airport and once had a minibus link to the terminal. Sadly that didn't last and the station is temporarily (?) closed with one platform and the bridge removed.

I'd still say that doesn't count.

Luton Airport Parkway isn't an airport train station (now of course there's a light rail link to Luton Airport, but previously there was a bus link).
Rhoose Cardiff Airport isn't an airport station and their bus link still operates.
