No - they came via Nottingham for some electrical fitment before going to Pelican in Castleford. They're only now in the process of being delivered for service.

The reason why there’s a gap in the recent “this is…” announcements are the fact they are 2 different recordings.
The first half is always “this is (line no)” and then the second half plays out “to (dest)”.
One Navy 3A example this week just had the second half play “to city centre”.

Well compared to the 63 reg full length E200s they used to have it was pretty bad. Always felt slow and sluggish, whereas the older ones were very quick off the mark. And then yes the rattles on top of that. From a passenger POV the E200 MMCs also felt like drivers struggled with them - slowing down it was like the brakes were 0 or 100 and you’d often have a lurch just before coming to a complete stop. Not sure if it was electrical or wiring issues but their internal passenger displays seemed to be broken on most of them. To think for a while they were NCTs newest batch of buses, you couldn’t really tell

Nottingham City Transport are to run the 90 between Nottingham and Newark from February 2026 taking over from Central Connect. It'll run as a Pathfinder service.

The image on the homepage shows a Solo SR so maybe them to begin with.

That doesn't seem to be a link.
The (S)90 back with the other old Pathfinder route (26, now, S100 as was) - a shame they don't both still serve Newark.

Interesting that they intend to hold on to some Solos for it. Looks to be quite a fair mileage route would something like a yutong even last a full days service on it?

Fairly easy to do bus changes with it going by Trent Bridge and thus very close to the depot though

Perhaps some variation on green, as that is the colour for the part of the city it passses through and the map and timetables are using it.
How much is battery drain affected by doing a few longer and faster journeys compared with spending the same length of time doing shorter slower ones?

90 is a bit of an outlying route number for NCT's network. Weren't they trying to re-order their route numbers for simplicity?
My initial thought is that route numbers 12-14 are available. This will be an afterthought; assuming everything goes to plan.

12 would be logical as it is most similar to the 11 at the City end. But is there another 12 in Newark (or anywhere in between).
But NCT might be wanting to reserve 12-14 in case they ever go back to Castle Boulevard, which used this number series previously. The graphic on their announcement says "Same Number - New Operator" so they probably want to keep it for continuity.
