Disagree, the tube map isn't riddled with inconsistencies as this one is.
As others have said, the vast majority of the public just want a representation of the lines, not that they're accurate or would notice, or care about, the inconsistencies

Map seems to imply that Cross Country services to Leicester and Derby stop at Adderley Park, could do with making the branch off a bit earlier.

Every rail map I see makes me realise what a masterpiece the old SPT rail map of the Strathclyde area was. Nothing has ever mapped that Glasgow area close to as well since.

This one is pretty and quite geographically accurate. But it doesn't tell me what routes there are that use those lines, and that's one of the key things such a map could tell you...

Bearley and Claverdon are listed as request stops, i don't think they are anymore though there is some confusion, some WMR trains still display that they are on the PIS.

What an absolutely ghastly typeface they've used for this. It looks like some kind of childish cousin of Comic Sans.

Would it have been too much for them to have used RA2?

Labels which are diagonally down and to the left also appear too far away from their dot. Sometimes isn’t clear at first glance which one they apply to.

I think it's the same typeface used for the National Rail logo. Agree it does look a bit Comic Sans...not good!

Well it is the ‘Gateway to the South’, after all.

(Which might mean nothing to our younger members.)
I think the fainter 'blob' at Balham is for the Northern line rather than GatEx.

More anomalies - Shepherd's Bush (LU Central line) is shown as Shepherds Bush (i.e. no apostrophe) on the NR map, while Shepherd's Bush Market is shown as Shepherd's Bush Market. To make things doubly confusing, though, the TfL pages have the opposite use of apostrophes!

LNER doesn't go to Glasgow Central does it? The map says it does a limited service there.
It does indeed - I've even been on it! Very limited run through from Edinburgh to Central via Carstairs Jcn. Whilst I noted the connection between Queen Street to Buchanan Street Subway on the map, it also shows one from St Enoch Subway to Glasgow Central - that simply doesn't exist!

LNER doesn't run to Glasgow Central anymore. 1E06 0800 Edinburgh-Kings Cross was the former 0650 from Glasgow Central and 1S23 1530 Kings Cross-Edinburgh (1S25 1630 on Saturdays) was the previous through northbound working.

I thought LNER withdrew its Glasgow service from the Dec 2024 timetable.

I had used their service last Xmas just after they dumped the London to Stirling service (which I also found convenient). With the new Stirling to London service starting next year, I suppose Lumo have seen the opportunity from Glasgow... even if LNER don't!

for about 18 months there was confusion because the public timetable and all public information suggested that they wer no longer request stops, but the Internal operational documentation still had them as request stops. From the May 2025 timetable change, they were again shown as request stops in the public timetable. (Thi only applies to WMR, Chiltern trains do not regard the stations as request stops.)

Interesting though i went to Bearley a couple of months ago by WMR and didn't ask the guard to stop, but it did anyway.

Sandy and Arlesey are both shown with Great Northern blobs, despite being served by a weekly total of 0 GN trains

Bickley to Petts Wood on Southeastern still shown as 'Limited Service' despite it being 4tph all day whilst the infrequent Thameslink service over that section is highlighted otherwise.

The junction from Huddersfield/Deighton onto the line to Brighouse is mising - I think these services are currently bustituted due to TRU and reduced capacity at Huddersfield so I wonder if this is data driven?

Exactly the same as on the 'old' 'non-interactive' map then......

EMR shown as regularly stopping along the Hope Valley as well as at Dronfield, Langley Mill and Ilkeston.
EMR run the first westbound and last westbound stopping services through the Hope Valley Monday -Saturday.

Stops are shown at Dore & Totley correctly for EMR and Northern. The map implies TPE run through but don't stop. Currently 10 a day do stop.

Many stations listed in North Wales as request stops that aren't. Not the end of the world , but still factually incorrect.

My point was that they created a feature for limited stops, such as EMR hope valley, but then haven’t used it.

Baffling that they acknowledged the EMR Dore & Totley stop but not the TPE ones which stop there for more regularly.

Yes similarly Clifton is a shown as regular stop for Northern yet they only stop once a day in each direction.
