Why did some operators have number, then 2 destination displays ?

Was common with certain Badgerline OpCos - Yorkshire and Bristol mainly
The F Reg batch of Leyland Lynx for City Line were flip dot numbers and blinds for the destinations but the H reg ones were all flip dot, as were the K reg Olympians

Whereas the Badgerline Lances (including Pathfinders), L-P Darts and Leyland bodied Olympians did have flipdot numerals and standard blinds, as did the R reg Darts delivered to both Badgerline and Cityline

Lothian's batch of dual-door Lynx IIs had the same. Standard blinds and flipdots on the front, flipdots on the side and at the rear.
