Now that the ICNG has totally displaced the NS Intercity loco hauled services, I wondered if any of our Dutch correspondents knew where the coaching stock was stored, and what happened to the locos?

Were the locos leased and can any other work be found for them with other operators, depending on their voltage systems? Will there likely be any buyers for the carriages, or will they just end up being scrapped

The Traxx locomotives were sold to Akiem a couple of years ago and then leased back, so these will just return to Akiem (some had even already been repainted whilst still in service for NS).

The ICR-stock is for sale, believe some of them were already sold. Recently it was also in the news that the Dutch army was planning to purchase 24 ICR-carriages to convert them to mobile hospitals.

Interesting. So a version of the 1970's tv series M*A*S*H may appear on Dutch rails very soon.

Just checked out Akiem Traxx locos on youtube. Not the most vibrant looking livery, is it?

European Sleeper might be interested in the ICR stock, I imagine.
I doubt it. Transforming open plan carriages into night stock is not going to come cheap. Also, they are not RIC. I'm not even sure that they fit the UIC loading gauge.
