Looking at ticketing for the below route that I'm planning, taking place after the December timetable change:
In the absense of a rail ranger covering the whole area, I wonder if the experts on here can find a better combination of tickets than I have. While it's a fixed itinerary, I'd want to avoid advances so that I could reroute in case of delays/cancellations.
With railcard discount: East Yorkshire Round Robin (£21.70) + Leeds to Selby Off-Peak Day Single (Northern Only) (£6.70) + Gilberdyke to Goole Off-Peak Day Return (£3.50) + York to Leeds Off-Peak Day Single (Northern Only) (£10.05) = a rather expensive £41.95.
Alternatively I could wait until I have the opportunity to do multiple trips from Leeds and buy a North East Rover but unless there aren't significant savings to be made over what I've found, I'd rather do this separately. It's also not valid on Hull Trains so would still require a separate ticket for that leg.
| Departure | Origin | Destination | Arrival | Operator |
| 11:55 | Leeds | Brough | 12:46 | Northern |
| 13:02 | Brough | Selby | 13:29 | Northern |
| 14:08 | Selby | Hull | 14:43 | Hull Trains |
| 15:49 | Hull | Goole | 16:24 | Northern |
| 16:34 | Goole | Gilberdyke | 16:46 | Northern |
| 17:09 | Gilberdyke | York | 18:01 | Northern |
| 18:09 | York | Leeds | 18:40 | Northern |
