Can you try and use the correct 3 letter code for stations so it's easy for everyone to follow. No idea where 'LE' is meant to be, but it's BHM for New St.
‘LE’ in this poster’s message is London Euston!

I guess they fixed it. It then ran in service as 1Y49 from EUS to BHM, currently around 20 min late approaching BHM.Looks like the faulty 10 - Car went back ECS to LE as 5Y42 at 1419.
Path in for it to mo to Wembley this afternoon. No, 202 was left at Donnington.
25th September 2025.There is an excellent database created by Ben Wright, the address i'm sure I lifted off here a couple of months ago, which gives pretty much the current state of play with regards to which are in service and which are not....
205/10/11/12/13/15/16/17/18/20/24/26/30/31/32/33/34 and 235 are all in service or at least available for service
201/2/3/4/6/7/8/9/14/19/21/22/23/25/27/28/29 and 236 have not yet entered service
Not entered service are these classified out of LNWR boundaries?? eg Gascoigne wood sidings25th September 2025.
With 730209 working on the BNS - LLS circuit today, the remaining Units not yet entered service are:-
201/2/3/4/6/7/8/19/22/25/27/28/29 & 236. Total of 14 out of the 36.
This means that anyone that has ridden all the ones in service they will have had 22 out of the 36.
Recent posts would suggest at least 201 & 225 are within LNWR boundaries, with 202 about to make the Journey. Another post suggests that some are at Old Dalby. Not entered service are these classified out of LNWR boundaries?? eg Gascoigne wood sidings

I think 99% of people on here understand the poster was implying Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street.730s have never worked, nor never can work from Barnes to Llanishen.

A West Midlands Railway (WMR) train fleet has carried more than 12 million passengers since completing its rollout on a popular Birmingham route one year ago today.
Passengers on the Cross City Line, which connects Lichfield to Bromsgrove and Redditch via Birmingham, first boarded the new Class 730/0 electric train fleet in March 2024, with the full rollout officially completed on 26 September 2024.
In their first year, the new trains have proven popular with commuters and leisure travellers alike with more than a million journeys made every single month. WMR reported a 19% rise in customer satisfaction on the route since they entered service, citing their spacious carriages, intelligent air conditioning and modern features as factors behind the uplift.
The rollout of the new fleet was recognised at the prestigious National Rail Awards ceremony in London last week (Wednesday 17 September), where it won for ‘Fleet Achievement of the Year’.
Jonny Wiseman, WMR customer experience director, said: “This new fleet is the flagship for our £1billion investment into new trains and infrastructure. We want to provide the best possible passenger experience, and we are so pleased that the Class 730/0s are making such a positive impact on customer satisfaction already.
“The Cross City Line is the busiest commuter route outside of London, so boosting capacity was hugely important to us. The new 3-carriage trains run in pairs, comfortably offering space for over 1,000 people on every Cross City Line service.”
As well as serving Birmingham New Street, the line includes the award-winning University Station, which saw over three million passengers in the first year first year following its multi-million-pound transformation.
As well as the Cross City Line, Class 730 trains run on routes connecting central Birmingham with destinations including Walsall, Wolverhampton, Rugeley and Birmingham International.
More information on the fleet is available on the West Midlands Railway website: Class 730 fleet | West Midlands Railway.
What makes CRS codes the “correct” codes? They are newer than BNS being used as New St and are far from universal for internal use.I think 99% of people on here understand the poster was implying Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street.
But, yes, correct railway codes would be better to be used.
Deleted as some content may have been slightly off Topic.214 on a Brum to Liverpool service today.

730223 was in Service on the 3rd & 4th September 2025 on the Birmingham New Street (BHM) to Liverpool Lime Street (LIV) circuit. Failed at Crewe on the 4th with a door fault & (as far as I'm aware) never worked again. Thanks, just wondering did this unit went into service before as is heading back to old Dalby?
then it goes back for some sort of checks then730223 was in Service on the 3rd & 4th September 2025 on the Birmingham New Street (BHM) to Liverpool Lime Street (LIV) circuit. Failed at Crewe on the 4th with a door fault & (as far as I'm aware) never worked again.
Who Knows. If it was a simple fault to fix I'm sure it would have returned to Service by now. Maybe they need to Analyse & understand the root cause of the problem because they are worried about it happening on other 730/2 Units. If it is door related then it could well be a safety critical issue.then it goes back for some sort of checks then
