More introductions to come on the WCML with another two units out in service every fortnight. Work going on next to the Carriage Sidings at Bletchley to bring the old freight sidings into use as additional stabling locations for these longer units. Roads 6-8 of the carriage will also be straightened out to allow for stabling of these units, currently they are barred from these roads due to track curvature.

December is still planned to see all the 730's pulled off Birmingham to Liverpool and put on the Trent Valley.

So had it confirmed today that the block on workings north of Northampton actually related to 12 car 350 work which is still on hold for the moment.

730214 was at Northampton today being used in the filming of something or other, bay platform was blocked off to the public whilst this has been taking place.

Monday 22nd September 2025 - Black Monday for 730/2 on the Birmingham New Street - Liverpool Lime Street circuit.
Only 5 Class 730/2 from the start on the service with 3 Class 350. Consecutive Trains from Liverpool Lime Street with 216 & 217 cancelled at Crewe which means there are trains from Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street at 1104 then 1234. Also at 1504 then 1634. Two gaps of 90 Minutes for a 30 Minute frequency service.
1Y64 returns to London Euston as a 5 Car leaving 730235 in the West Midlands to try & maintain some sort of service on the Birmingham New Street to Liverpool Lime Street circuit Tomorrow. Class 350 performed faultlessly all day - and this is progress!

A 350 died at Liverpool, wouldn't couple properly and had to go empty.

BHM and LIV are the correct 3 letter codes for railway stations for Birmingham New Street and Liverpool Lime Street.

I wonder how busy a 10-car 730 or 12-car 350 gets north of Northampton?

there's a drag today from gascoigne wood to Bletchley again, perhaps just one set, as is pathed as 400 tonnes

Wednesday 24th September 2025. Source Real Times Trains.
1Y27 had door problems after Coventry with 730215+730234. Subsequent 1306 Birmingham New Street to London Euston cancelled. Next train from Birmingham New Street at 1336 was 350119 as a 4 - Car. Must have been cosy with 2 Train loads of Passengers aboard!

Looks like the faulty 10 - Car went back Empty Coaching Stock to London Euston as 5Y42 at 1419.

Can you try and use the correct 3 letter code for stations so it's easy for everyone to follow. No idea where 'LE' is meant to be, but it's BHM for New St.
