Yes, must be. Supposing it operates, keep an eye on the camera!Planned for up to 100mph on the main line during the day must be under it's own power. Dawlish camera at 1603 if on time. I'll be watching.

Could even be more than one unit coupled together, if more than one unit is now ready. Have to wait and see.Planned for up to 100mph on the main line during the day must be under it's own power. Dawlish camera at 1603 if on time. I'll be watching.
Real question is what have they done internally! Guess we'll have to wait and see for tomorrow's results.I can't remember whether in this thread it had been confirmed that these units were going to be painted green or not? Anyway, they are according to a very good source at GWR, the the current delays in delivery are down to more than expected corrosion being found underneath the units, by no means a show stopper but definitely slowing things down. Form what I gather the repaint work is separate to the internal work so there may for a time be some internally refreshed units still white before they go for re-livery.
I'm happy to be corrected on that, this came from a conversation with someone who has had some involvement in the 175 implementation.

*if*Personally, I don't see the point of painting the 175s in full GWR green if everything's gonna be rebranded as GBR in a few years' time.

Just like the XC voyagers and 170s then !!!Personally, I don't see the point of painting the 175s in full GWR green if everything's gonna be rebranded as GBR in a few years' time.
Significant corrosion repairs were performed on the Class 175 fleet prior to repainting during the refurbishment programme at Alstom Widnes between 2019 and 2022. It was envisaged that the new paint coating would provide effective protection for the bodyshell for the remainder of the vehicle's lifetime.I can't remember whether in this thread it had been confirmed that these units were going to be painted green or not? That is not to say that further corrosion may have appeared since the refurbishment was completed.
Though to be fair to Washwood Heath's finest (?), not many Fiestas get repainted for new owners after 25 years of useReminding me of 1990's Ford Fiestas.
Having owned two of the rust buckets I am only too familiar with that!Reminding me of 1990's Ford Fiestas.
From what I hear, it isn't body side corrosion but underneath.Significant corrosion repairs were performed on the Class 175 fleet prior to repainting during the refurbishment programme at Alstom Widnes between 2019 and 2022. Many thanks for letting us know!175003 running today as 5V84 1014 Wolverton Works to Laira Depot.
They can work Exmouth-Paignton just as 158s often do but it is undesirable because of the end doors delaying loading times. The only way to make up time is by turning early at Topsham or reducing layover time at Paignton.I’ve seen comments online that the 175s can’t work on the busy Exeter - Exmouth line because of gauging issues.
im surprised because occasionally hsts worked to Exmouth.
does anyone know more detail?
They are changing the stop boards on the Paignton - Exmouth for the 175s I doubt it. Anyway, while they may end up running the odd unit on the PGN-EXM due to an inevitable broken 150, like the158s they are not suitable due to the end door configuration.I’ve seen comments online that the 175s can’t work on the busy Exeter - Exmouth line because of gauging issues.

But presumably the 150s will leave the GWR fleet before the 175s, so I would guess there will be some major rediagramming of the rolling stock fleet once the 175s are in traffic, and are a known commodity. They are changing the stop boards on the Paignton - Exmouth for the 175s I doubt it. A HST did get as far as Topsham a few years ago but reversed there fouling the level crossing for sometime.
