Ah well there was no quote and I didn’t actually read the documentIt is clear that Parliament Street depot will begin electrification for this - it's even mentioned in the detail.

NCT do have form for cascading buses though - so might come in, on say, green line, freeing up middle aged buses to be cascaded to replace the oldest ones.I imagine routes with older e400s in service as the oldest biogas buses still have a few years left before NCT want to replace
I was watching a video recently with an interview from the managing director and he said the oldest gas buses are expected to be in service, and I could be wrong but I think he said for 12 yearsNCT do have form for cascading buses though - so might come in, on say, green line, freeing up middle aged buses to be cascaded to replace the oldest ones.
But also the cost of gas has been something NCT has called out a few times, so perhaps reducing their reliance on gas might be more of a priority.
So only 4 more years...!I was watching a video recently with an interview from the managing director and he said the oldest gas buses are expected to be in service, and I could be wrong but I think he said for 12 years
I still don't really understand this argument. For the 26, yes it makes sense but other operators seem to be managing well with electric double deckers with no obvious problems?Interesting to think that not too long ago they were saying electric double decks weren’t viable at the moment and they have ordered diesels for the 26
With gas prices the way they are id imagine that's fairly unlikely but who knowsOr will they replace some biogas that then get cascaded down to replace e400s on some of the less front-line routes?
These routes probably have reduced operating hours/ milage to the core routes so will be cheaper to operate, therefore ideal for expensive to operate gas buses. With gas prices the way they are id imagine that's fairly unlikely but who knows
I would have thought a lower mileage route probably does a similar mileage per day, as each bus will do more journeys and NCT don't spend long waiting at termini. It might be a better pointer to see if they put them on the less hilly routes, so south and west rather than north and east.Interesting to think that not too long ago they were saying electric double decks weren’t viable at the moment and they have ordered diesels for the 26
It will be interesting to see what routes end up with electric double decks, I would imagine the shorter lower mileage routes will probably be receiving this first batch
I think the 6 is about the flattest of the biogas routes, just the climb into town and a smaller one on Trevor Road. That would make NCT routes in Bridgford 100% electric, that is apart from the pretty frequent substitutions by diesels unless the recent influx of spare buses deals with that. On the other hand maybe they wouldn't want to have the fleet in one (affluent) area noticeably newer than everywhere else? The 6 might make sense, the other main Bridgford routes are electric and the PVR halves from 4 to 2 pretty quickly after the rush hour

The 49 could be another candidate. Another flat route and seems to have a few part day diagrams for duplicates at shift changeover times.I think the 6 is about the flattest of the biogas routes, just the climb into town and a smaller one on Trevor Road. I believe they said September initially but it’s all been pretty quiet on that front except for the last of the Yutongs now being in the UK with PelicanAnyone know when the streetdecks are coming?
The 6 75-registered buses on Bustimes could be some of the buses mentioned in this article.Looks like the last batch of yutongs are due to arrive soon

I’m not sure they even have them all yet. They only landed in the country around 6 weeks agoAh that makes sense
Does anyone know when the yutongs are entering service then?
Since my last message, four more have tracked on Bustimes which does indicate they're gradually being delivered or are all already with NCT, so shouldn't be too soon.I’m not sure they even have them all yet. They only landed in the country around 6 weeks ago
I heard it on the 36 at the weekend. Although I think they're better (because they're shorter), there is too much of a gap between the route number and destination. You think the announcement has finished, then it says something else.NCT’s just introduced the new route announcements.
Apparently only the Lilac’s got them but 627 on 6 said the new “This is Green 6… to Gamston” announcement after announcing Lammas Gardens, possibly replacing the “welcome aboard…” announcement.
Hulleys by High Peak is similar. But I do know what you’re saying. I do like the final stop announcements as well.I heard it on the 36 at the weekend. I’ve noticed this over the past week or so. Also added are announcements (and a little jingle?) at the last stops on each routeNCT’s just introduced the new route announcements.

I noticed those "last stop" announcements when I travelled on the 36 and 10 the other week. Although they're a bit misleading when they play on a route which goes around a loop at its end. It's like they want to kick you out at Vic Centre and don't want people alighting at Upper Parliament Street or Angel Row.I’ve noticed this over the past week or so. I had wondered what they were doing in situations like that. Especially confusing on Green line where they advertise the city loop buses as a way get around within the city centre. Similarly, someone boarding the 39 to Carlton Valley might be a bit concerned to hear the last stop is on Porchester Road (funnily enough the last non-valley stop on the route!)I noticed those "last stop" announcements when I travelled on the 36 and 10 the other week. From what I've experienced on other operators (I've not been to Nottingham since these announcement changes) they'll usually only announce 'last stop' on a route with a terminal loop if the destination display hasn't been changed.I had wondered what they were doing in situations like that. Imagine being on the Turquoise network and they say it at Maid Marian Way. I sure a lot of people usually stay on to Victoria Centre or even Broadmarsh (even though Trentbarton's quicker to Vic Centre due to NCT sometimes having a long layover at the final stop (like 5 minutes).I noticed those "last stop" announcements when I travelled on the 36 and 10 the other week.
