Hello folks.

I have non safeguarded priv.

Journey is Sunday 14th Stansted Airport (SSD) to London Paddington (PAD) via National Rail and Elizabeth line(EL).

I am keen to buy at a manned window, personal principles.

The Rail staff travel website makes Paddington "London Terminals" so charges public rate.

I could make life easy and ask for Acton Main Line (AML) although the Elizabeth Line seems to be terminating at PAD.

But how can someone then get the completely correct ticket to PAD as destination using EL ?

Special PRIV rate ticket paper is available for use on Elisabeth line ONLY (ie not tube) for journeys such as Liverpool St. or Abbey Wood to Paddington (LST to 0792 for £1.65) It is available to buy on RST site now too.
I tried this copied from the site a few years back but when i do it now it shows public rate.

Presumably this is just a one-way journey?

Acton Main Line (AML) isn't served this Sunday due to engineering works; Elizabeth line services are still running west of Paddington, but along the Main Lines - AML only has platforms on the Relief Lines. So you might not be able to get either RST Online or a ticket office to sell you a ticket there.

The next best option I can suggest is either buying a ticket to Ealing Broadway (the same price, £7.05) or a ticket to Queens Park for £6.50. The latter would be valid to 'finish short' at Paddington. In any event it's entirely plausible you'd pass through the Elizabeth line gateline on your way to the Bakerloo line, if you didn't spot the direct paid-side passageway between the two.

Yes, single. Bought at a ticket office with no itinerary yes I'm completely confident another National Rail stop will work but the question I'm posing is how do you get the exactly correct ticket to Paddington EL to be sold ?

There are no through fares, only special Priv fares which are valid on the Elizabeth line 'core' (Paddington-Abbey Wood).

I don't think they can be bought from RST Online; AFAIK They're only available to buy at the Elizabeth line stations (perhaps only 'core' ones at that - it's unclear).

Thank you. Ealing Broadway it will be then.

The fares appear to be set up as point to point now (Not 0792) and cost £1.75
I have purchased from GWR at Paddington before so any ticket office (or guard with CCST printer should be able to sell them)
