Station Buildings centre of picture (although not the actual Station Building itself).

Clue - this station is a working station despite the disused Tracks where I took the picture from. The Station is on a route between the Capital City of this Country and a busy Port City that is an Interegional Transport Hub.

Another Clue - this station is also at the Branch of the Line from Capital City to both the Port City and another Historic Town. The Daytime Journey Time from Capital City to Port City is around 7.5 - 8 Hours and there is also a Sleeper Service running overnight.

Correct! Well done. Sorry for the obscure Photo - the train staff announced a 15 minute stop here on my journey from Split to Zagreb a few weeks ago. We were allowed to wander around on the tracks - would never happen in this country! I assume very light traffic and no services due around the area for a while.

Nope! I was there about 10 days ago though
This one's a bit more obscure (which seems to have been a theme on this trip... I might have to write up a trip report once I get home!)

In the absence of any guesses, I'll provide a clue:

This station is right next to an international border (much closer than I realised when I was there...); the border may follow the course of a river. It is a former junction station, with one closed line crossing the border and the other heading "inland"; the route that remains open runs approximately parallel with said border until another junction station (and actual border crossing) is reached.

I was further up the line at Gyékényes the two summers ago, but Barcs looks like a pleasant station too.

Next up is a locality I don't think we've had before... This station currently sees two trains a day in each direction, seven days a week.

Think there are only 2 lines in Corsica - a small Branch Line with this station on it and Ajaccio - Ponte-Leccia - Bastia. Handy for accessing the GR20 Walking Route.

I was thinking along the same lines - there's a very similar water tower at Venaco but 2tpd e/w points to the Calvi branch. I couldn't find a decent picture of Le Regino to check.

Yes I'm sure you're right - this page has a better picture of the station buildings which are a perfect match ( and confirms there's a water tower.)

That's right! This is Le Regino (or Reginu, in Corsican). My photo is from the end of August - a lovely part of the world. This line goes on a very scenic route through the mountains and is still time competitive with road vehicles (mainly because the roads in Corsica are pretty tortuous!).
