Thanks for your help
I'm glad it arrived, I hoped you wouldn't get charged the fees, but I guess you still got a bargain and a rare model that you wanted :)

I did, would have never thought to look abroad. Are you able to help me with something else?

Pride one available in Australia!!!

I see it says last few on that one. Does that mean it will sell out soon?
It means stock is low and once it's gone it's probably gone!

So there is! It’s quite abit over rrp but fair enough considering it’s sold out! I’m really tempted by the climate one and don’t want to sit around in case it sells out, however I think I would prefer the standard avanti livery. I’m not sure what to do!

This may help

Also found a second hand standard Avanti set here

Also new model in the COP26 green livery here

Shame the normal pendolino is collection only. I’m seriously considering the climate 390 but I can’t find anything about how it runs and if the livery is good or just blurry.

I can find a recent one either, but all older reviews are positive including the more recent Pride livery

The model itself has been around a while so I imagine it runs fine. You can always send back

The fee you were charged was VAT. The German VAT had been removed so this is the correct process. The TPE models sold out very quickly and you still paid a good price overall, so well worth the effort of securing it from abroad

No, the Pendolino has only ever been powered in one of the driving vehicles
Is the the climate one is dual motored? Maybe I read it wrong but I swear it said it was dual motorised

I haven't examined one so can't say, but previous issues have had one motor. As the Climate set is an 11 coach one they may have added another motor

Saw a FB post today by Great Eastern Models who have just received a delivery of the various sets of the COP26 liveried Pendos.:

Looks like a full 11 coach set available

I've seen a lot of stuff on eBay that's listed as collection only near the top of the page, but then still has shipping rates provided further down. Presumably it's some sort of default setting that sellers don't always switch off. Though full disclosure, it's a good few months since I used eBay.

Hi all,

Some of you previously helped me find a brand new Hornby Nova 1 from a German website. I went back to try and buy another, but they have disappeared! I would really appreciate someone helping me find another.

Many thanks.

PTSO or platform depending on the weather
Have you considered looking at Amazon? Sample web page below. I can't see a listing for the Nova 1 but you never know what might pop up

Also, places like Rails of Sheffield or The Model Centre often have pre-owned stuff turn up, so it's worth keeping an eye out.

And... keep an eye out for model railway exhibitions in your area - loads of vendors/stalls, new and pre-owned items available
