I think they are referring to the Settle & Carlisle Fellsman by Saphos as that starts in Blackpool on the day they mentioned.

No idea on traction though, the website just states:

"The train is steam hauled throughout from Blackpool by one of our immaculately restored pool of engines including: the world famous LMS Royal Scot Class, No.46100 ‘Royal Scot’ – West Country Class, No. 34046 ‘Braunton’ – Britannia Pacific Class, No 70000 ‘Britannia’"

I was on a visit to LSL on Friday 15th, I saw RSG with its roof off inside one of the sheds. The tour guide joked, "does anyone know anything about Deltics"

Looking at my photos from Friday's visit, it was inside one of the sheds, also in the same shed being worked on were 47830, 47593 and I think 47614 was the other. I am not a 47 expert but that is what it looks like. 47828 looks very pale, certainly compared to 47593 which looks great.

AIUI LSL's own 47s are regularly painted at Arlington's state of the art (two pack) facility at Eastleigh, whereas 47828 (lease from D05) was probably pzinted by them at Crewe. Absolutely no disrespects to the D05 group.

Today’s Welsh Marches Express has 47805 and 47593 Top and Tailed (I don’t know which is leading) to Bristol Temple Meads where 34046 will haul the train to Shrewsbury and back to Bristol before swapping, she will be assisted by a 47 ( No Generator Coach in the Consist) looks like it won’t have a 47 tucked in today

It has been repainted into the same livery as stablemate 57311 and 57002. A livery that's a nod back to steam days

57002 And 47593 are hauling todays English Riviera Express, where, at Taunton 5029 or 34046 will take over from 57002 and haul the train to Kingswear then back to Tauntin before swapping for 57002

Any ideas why today’s English Riviera Express was substituted with Braunton? RailAdvent said it was being hauled by Nunney Castle
