I've discovered that Hungary offers some very cheap rail and (long-distance) bus passes. Please could someone confirm if the following is correct?
*Pretty sure I read somewhere that you don't need a reservation if you're just doing a quick run between (say) Budapest Deli and Kelenfoeld - is there a map of how far this area extends?
Thanks
EDIT: how does the pass interact with sleeper trains? If I wanted to use the Budapest-Rijeka sleeper, would I just need a reservation?
- Valid on all trains in Hungary (except open access), does this include services operated by other national rail operators (eg: OeBB)?
- Valid on local transport in certain cities, including Budapest
- Is valid on services requiring a seat reservation if you buy a reservation*
- No time restrictions
