It last worked a passenger train in the North West towards the end of April. It then went to Heaton for C4 bogie work / replacement wheelsets. Presumably corrosion issues were then identified that required the move in Mid June to Brodies at Kilmarnock. The photos of it at the time appear to show it already on replacement bogies when it made the move from Heaton into Scotland.Interesting, has that moved from Newton Heath (and has anything moved in return)?
I believe 156402 has been out of service for some time.
The movement should of been 158756 and 156402 but the 158 wasn't available to move and the timings couldn't be amended so the 156 still moved to Neville Hill for a move to Heaton on Thursday. 156402 is moving to Heaton for a little while to cover for other Angel 156's currently ongoing C6.It last worked a passenger train in the North West towards the end of April. IIRC we got 150210 in the North West as a swap for that, with 158791 moving from HT to NL?Dave
156460 has also gone from NH to HT. Is this covering as well?
They are a bit mixed up at the moment. Several Heaton units were trapped south of Whitehaven when the line closed. Sooner or later they will end up at Newton Heath for an exam and then likely turn out on any class 156 diagram.Apologies if off topic for the thread - but I stumbled across Heaton based 156485 at Manchester Victoria around lunchtime today...

Dood news for me then, I haven't ridden 421, 469, and 485, and haven't even seen 483!156421, 156440, 156469, 156483 and 156485 are the units in question!

156460 has indeed transferred across to Heaton. 156466 is at Heaton for it's C4 exam, that's all. It returns this Saturday (16th) to Newton Heath.Apparently 156466 is currently at Heaton. Heard this is also a transfer.
