I looked for a thread on this but couldn't find one.
It seems to me that several stations are well-situated, but the location of the entrance means it's a lot further than needed for many people, especially because of level crossings or for those on foot.
Some examples I thought of:

Some examples I thought of:
- Epsom (needs South exit)
- Wimbledon (I think this is planned)
- Exeter St Davids (West exit for Exwick/river etc)
- East Croydon
- Newton Abbot (East side for industrial estate/council offices)
